The Boat House is a newly refurbished open plan apartment with a fresh modern decor.
Enter the property at ground level and head up the short flight of stairs to this beautiful space. To the left is a well equipped kitchen with oven, dishwasher, washing machine/dryer, microwave, fridge and a dining table for eating and entertaining and a large L shaped sofa.
To the right are the beds to sleep 2 ( 2 singles, can be clipped together to make 1 double - please feel free to do this) and the separate bathroom with shower. The beautiful screen can be put up to give this sleeping area some privacy from the living space.
With views over the village green and Slaggyford Park, this quirky little apartment is the perfect place to stop on your travels in the North Pennines. Now available for 1 nights stays only when booked direct.
Pets welcome with prior notification - dog cage (on request), towels and bowls provided-

Local Information
The Boat House, Slaggyford is located in the North Pennines, right on the Pennine Way in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, surrounded by the rolling countryside.
The local pub Kirkstyle Inn which opens in January 2023 has been fully refurbished and offers meals and refreshments. Only a 5 minute drive or a 15/20min walk along the road. A torch and HiVis jacket is reccomended as there is no footpath although there is a grass verge.
Alston is approximately 5 miles from Slaggyford and is the highest market town in the UK, boasting many small independent businesses, eateries and shops. The South Tyndale Railway and the Pennine Way run through Slaggyford and the section for Slaggyford to Alston has been restored back into a railway line where you can catch the steam train to take in the amazing views. In the opposite direction the trail runs all the way to Haltwhistle via Lambley Viaduct and by the real ale pub the Wallace Arms at Featherstone.
The River Tyne which flows through Slaggyford is very well known for its trout and salmon fishing, so if you are coming to the area and wish to fish, contact Alston Angling for passes.
