"Our stay at the Canal House was perfect for our family of 10. The home was spacious and welcoming, easily accommodating both our family and our pets’ outdoor needs. The pool was amazing—clean, refreshing, and a favorite gathering spot.We loved the two covered porches—one in the front and one in the back—and the deck had plenty of seating for everyone to relax and enjoy the breeze.Communication with management was excellent. They responded promptly to all inquiries before and during our stay, which gave us peace of mind. I particularly appreciated their thoughtful response to my concerns about past reviews mentioning refrigerator issues. We brought extra coolers just in case, but there were zero problems. In fact, the additional small fridge was a great bonus—we used it for drinks.One important note for future guests: during our stay, a double high tide—combined with a strong north wind—caused the water to rise 8 to 10 inches over the lower deck. Thankfully, we had only left chairs and a few fishing rods out, none of which were swept away. It didn’t rain, so this was purely a tidal event. It would be helpful for guests to be made aware of the potential for rising water in the Jamaica Beach area, especially during certain weather conditions.The Canal House exceeded our expectations in every way. We will definitely return. "
