"I rarely write reviews let alone poor ones but I can’t recommend anyone stay here! We wanted to test it before recommending to our wedding guests looking for hotels in the area and so glad we did. A terrible nights sleep the bed was SO uncomfortable, lumpy and hard and the pillows were ancient. Genuinely the worst we’ve ever had and we are usually able to sleep anywhere. Facilities very shabby and barely any staff to be found at breakfast and the bar - we could have looked past that if the bed was ok but honestly, do not stay here. Marking a 2 stars as at least it was cheap and the shower was good "

"Toad Hall is a very old Lady and has its quirky bits like any property that has stood for so long, however this is truly part of its charm. We managed to arrive just as the house keeper was leaving so we were given a tour of the place, which was a kind and unexpected bonus! As a result we did not have to touch a thing, as everything from the heating to the freezer had been switched on. The heating was perfectly adequate for all the family and we didn’t need the main fire despite the weather outside. All the white goods seemed to have been newly installed and the bedding and beds were perfectly comfortable. There are one or two tired areas particularly the kitchen cabinets which have been in the property a long time by the look of them, as have the sofas. We didn’t get the best of the weather whilst staying and as such the garden was very boggy and in places there was a lot of standing water in the garden and down the lanes leading to the property, which was more problematic when walking the dog. One thing that we did find a little odd, was that the owners don’t provide towels, which we have never had to do in any other holiday accommodation that we have been to, over a number of years. This said my wife and I along with our children and grandchildren had a lovely time. We played table tennis and various board games as well as going to the nearest beaches about 30 minutes drive away. In summary, if you are looking for a clean lines all singing all dancing up to the minute property to spend time in, you will have picked the wrong place. If you are looking for a quiet and peaceful retreat, that has charm and character, oozing from every beam and sloping floor, you might have picked yourself the exact property."

"We had a wonderful week staying at the Milking Parlour in the beautiful Suffolk countryside. The location was perfect, offering easy access to Ipswich and charming surrounding villages. The hosts were incredibly hospitable and friendly, making us feel right at home. The accommodation itself was cosy, clean, and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. We couldn't have asked for a better getaway. Highly recommended for anyone looking to escape to the countryside!"

"Lovely cottage. Huge inside,with plenty of space inside for the 11 guests. Good games room with pool table. Lovely huge hot tub,which had plenty of use. 30 mins drive to felixstowe and 15 mins to the Lovely marina in ipswich. All in all,had a great time by all."

"The cottage was extremely clean and there were so many amenities. The bed was extremely comfortable, there was a giant closet for a longer stay, and a mini fridge for any food you need. There was a cute tea and hot chocolate bar that we took full advantage of. It also uses infared heating, which is so modern! This cottage is attached to the owners' house, but they managed to keep our space private and quiet. The owners were so polite and sweet, and it was lovely talking to them. Lastly, the garden was just beautiful. It would have been more so if we went in the summer (we came in december, haha), but it was still such a beautiful and perfect experience for the two of us. "was unable to sleep in the bed as the room had a major issue with black mould in the bathroom which had become airborne & affected the the entire room the smell was over powering slept in a chair as the bed was cover with the black mould smell & was unable to breath, suffer with chest infections which the spores got on my chest I had to call 111 & was directed to Ipswich hospital for antibiotics, never even stopped for breakfast on day 2 felt to ill on antibiotics for next 5 days, this all happened when the heating was switched on which activated the spores into the air."
