"While the resort itself was beautiful, I was uncomfortable with some interactions involving drivers. One driver quoted me a transfer price much higher than the rate later confirmed directly by the resort and suggested using a relative for transportation instead. I ultimately chose a ride through Grab because I preferred the transparency, tracking, and accountability of the app. I also experienced a few comments/interactions from drivers that felt overly personal or suggestive and did not feel professional to me as a solo traveler."

"Me and two of my friends stayed for a week together here and we were beyond impressed with the hospitality and kindness of the staff. They always made sure we were satisfied with every aspect of our stay, and also helped organize activities for us in ubud. The food was always excellent and beautiful! We will miss all the lovely staff dearly, and would definitely stay again!"

"all food was fantastic. just know that everything is outdoor-style. no ac in eating area. staff was terrific. rooms good, just understand bugs sometimes get in room, especially if you leave lights on, need to ensure you keep balcony closed at night if lights on location is a bit difficult with poor road access but worth it"

"Beautiful greenary and well maintained property. Amenities in the room needs improvement. No iron and no ironing board. Value for money is not there. If we stay in any normal 5 star hotel you get all items. We do not have to ask. For the price being charged better amenities exoected."

"This is a fantastic experience, especially if visiting with children. We had a one-night stay in the Mara Safari Hotel, which was a stopover before moving onto Sanur. Unfortunately the rooms are incredibly tired and would benefit from a major refurbishment / freshen up. The food at the restaurant was great; however when it came to ordering dessert, almost all options were not available despite the hotel being very quiet. This was disappointing."
