"I love hotel j-mex. The worst part is to get down the stairs to the property if you have big luggage etc. everything else is perfect. This is a love hotel so you will see people using it for that purpose, and cigarette smell if that bothers you. If not, J-Mex is always my go to when I stay in Japan. The room is huge. The bathroom is the best. 100000/10 we love you j-mex see you next trip"

Hotel Metropolitan Tokyo Ikebukuro
10/10 Excellent
"The location is terrific. Next to the stations. A lot of dinning & shopping options. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Although you can tell the rooms are a little bit of old compared to some other hotels around here, but they do keep the them nice and clean."
"The hotel is in the middle of everything, except is not too loud. You would be surprised. Is a tourist attraction due to Godzilla scripture being at the hotel. Great staff. Ask for the Airport shuttle bus information. Is literally 3-5 mins walk from the hotel. The bus drops you off right in front of the terminal for little to nothing. "
"This hotel is very clean, and its facilities are great, especially the laundry room, which is very well ventilated, unlike many hotels' laundry rooms.
Air conditioning is central air. So, you can blast more than what the room can provide. But it was cool enough for my stay.
It's in Ikebukuro, which is a very lively and safe place, thus a lot of shops/restaurants around. The food quality is not like central Tokyo, but it's good enough.
I would come back again."
"It is surrounded with tons of stores around. We enjoyed the restaurant at the ground floor. The cleanliness of the building is phenomenol. One of the busiest street but the experience was amazing. The waiting time for elevator is an opportunity, wish there is a stair to use as alternative. "
"Staff was friendly and helpful, able to speak English. Area was great.
Not enough washers and dryers... only 2 of each.
Overall, I had a great experience and will be staying there again when in Tokyo."
