"Buena Vista and Salida are now at the top of my list for Colorado destinations. Nothing like it, and this house helps you maximize all of it. Just outside the "downtown" Buena Vista town (4 minutes), this house is nestled at the base of the massive mountains in the background. The property is incredible and unique. The crush-and-run driveway is opulent and provides a high-end welcome. The gameroom provided our family not only two spirited game nights, but a surround-sound viewing experience to watch the latest episode of our favorite TV show, Survivor. The bedrooms were nice, the kitchen well-stocked with a high-end cooking surface (pancakes and griddle also there). The master was amazing and spacious (the entire upstairs floor). Wash/Dryer there, too, to wash clothes after outdoor excursions. The star of the show, though, was the hottub and the absolutely stunning starry skies unpolluted by city lights. In fact, I thought 9pm skies were beautiful, but one clear morning, I went out at 5am and could not believe the brightness of the stars. Amazing experience. The garage entry is really nice, too, for those colder mornings/evenings. Our Ford Expedition Max fit perfectly in there. This is a home I absolutely will revisit. Has the amenities and location anyone wanting to visit Buena Vista, Nathrop o Salida need. "

"Lisa was so great to coordinate with and the property was perfect for a weekend getaway. View was beautiful and we hung out in the backyard in the warm sun as well. Quiet neighborhood to walk the dog and also access to trails and downtown BV was top notch!"

"This home was just right for a long weekend getaway for two families- including 4 teen boys. The kitchen was well supplied and organized, the beds were comfortable and the bedrooms included room darkening shades. Everything was very clean and the size was just right for us- cozy, but big enough to serve as a home base for BV adventures! The boys enjoyed the board games and played an epic round of monopoly. The hosts were excellent communicators and clearly very thoughtful people. We also appreciated the bag of coffee they left us! Thank you Janna!The only thing that wasn’t clear to me on the listing is that the room with two twin beds (a trundle) is actually a loft space- so no doors/privacy. That was ok for us this time, but could have been an issue in other circumstances.The yard /neighborhood is not the cutest, but it was very quiet, there are string lights and a sweet mural out back, and a gorgeous view of Mt. Princeton from the deck. It was a quick and pleasant walk or bike ride along a creek, across a quiet road and then along a bike path to town. The boys all brought bikes and enjoyed spending time at the pump track and fishing in the Arkansas. We appreciated that they could access those things (as well as a both fly and bike shops) safely on their own. We would definitely recommend this house, and would stay here again. "
