"Gorgeous hotel to stay for any occasion. It is a 15 minute drive into Alvor and last couple of hundred metres is along a stone covered track. That saying it is absolutely worth the drive. The owners and other staff members are welcoming, friendly and go out of their way to ensure your stay is perfect. Quality of food provided is above many other establishments. Limited choice but cooked fresh and delicious. A dog friendly establishment which is truly dog friendly. Other than in the pool itself...

"Bien entretenu, le centre touristique est à 2 pas, bon déjeuner buffet en terrasse ou à l’intérieur. Stationnement facile à 200 mètres Chambre de bain très très petite et l’absence de ventilation rend la chambre humide, il faut ouvrier les volets .."

"This is a beautiful located and charming hotel. I feel like I found a slice of paradise in the corner of the Algarve coast. The staff was wonderful and as charming as the decor of this hotel. The breakfast on the balcony delivered in picnic baskets was the caring touch you will not find everywhere."

"The hotel is a nice small hotel that is well taken care of and the staff are very helpful and friendly. There are only 3 rooms without a balcony and they face the road. No view whatsoever. We were in oner of those rooms and had i known that we were getting one of them I would not have stayed there. Too bad because the hotel itself is nice. Average breakfast but more than adequate."

"The spacious place was sparkling clean and the rooms were nicely decorated. I appreciated the host allowed to store some stuff in the fridge and use the kitchen to prepare breakfast. The beds were good and comfy. There was a coffee maker with capsules and an electric kettle too. Very quiet at night (unless you have noisy neighbours in the other rooms) since it's not in the city. Your own car is a must (unless you're doing the Vicentina walking route). "

"My first time at a “guest house” so not aware of the fact that there is no staff on site whatsoever except for designated check ins/outs. No amenities, no receptionist, no housekeeping, no security, etc. I left a shirt behind by mistake and couldn’t go back to pick it up because the housekeeping staff was on site for only a few hours and the receptionist was on site only when someone was checking in…not for a shift (9-3) for example. Extra firm (hard) beds and no noise protection from guests...

"The service was fantastic, the room was relatively updated, the hotel was quiet (although not fully booked), and the location was great for access to some of the beaches. It would have been nice to be more in the center of town, but it also could have been more crowded and noisier there. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. "

However the administration did not communicate well with the customer so we did not know requirements of our stay so things did not work out well. Did not really feel welcome from the admin although housekeeping was most considerate. The are is beautiful but you do need a vehicle. Beautiful beaches in Lagos and Lux!"

"I booked at around 8pm and drove 3 hours to get to the hotel and the door was locked I rang the door bell for 30 mins and nothing , yelled to get someone attention and nothing , don’t book this hotel with out calling first to see if someone is there working or you will be left outside "

"The accommodation was reasonable for an overnight. A high ladder to climb with luggage. A gentleman, staff or owner, offered to help. The room and bathroom had no pleasant smell. A good available kitchen was great for preparing an evening snack and breakfast. Rate 8 for value for money."

"Safe location with easy parking and some nice cafes and a fine bodega nearby. Communication was fast and friendly. Room was clean but pillows were hard and uncomfortable and the kitchen area had an off smell making it unpleasant to use for meals. "

"Do not stay here. Upon arrival, we first were waiting outside for 30 mins waiting for instruction on how to get into the building when I finally received a message to come in. We then went into what we thought was supposed to be a private access room, which it was not. It was a room inside someone’s residence that had a lockable door and a private bathroom. It seemed off right from when we checked in, not to mention when we initially googled the location it showed up as another “Casa Falicidade”...

"I loved my stay. The room was clean and the bathroom impeccable. We even had a local rooster as an alarm clock. I would definitely stay here again in the future. It is very close to all of the important beaches of the area. "
