Very disappointed in our stay - poor start when we found the air conditioning was not available over “winter” even though it was a warm day - forced to keep the door open all night with lots of traffic noise next to a major highway. Service was poor and everything is an extra charge. Definitely a hotel past it’s best.

Beautiful property however they have as a practice to turn off the a/c promptly at 11 p.m until 7 a.m. making it extremely uncomfortable to sleep specially now with the heat wave.

This was an amazing property. The service and the accommodations are very high-class and old world. Honestly if this hotel was located anywhere else it would cost ten times what it did. The staff took care of our every need. The suites were wonderful, the food was good, the room service, all the amenities in the room. The pool was gorgeous and is heated so can be used year round. In short, EVERYTHING about this property was wonderful.

Very good hotel
We had an overnight stay here on our way to Santander port. The hotel is lovely and the swimming pool is great. I would suggest this hotel is more suitable for couples than families but as a family we were well looked after and our family suite was beautiful with doors opening directly onto the pool area. It missed a dedicated hotel bar, the restaurant was fabulous and the food great. I would return. My only issue was price - I expected breakfast for the room price I paid but had to pay extra.

Historic hotel
Very convenient stopover if you are motoring to or from Santander. Right off the main North South road. Great pool, lovely grounds and a great traditional restaurant.(you really should eat the milk lamb)

the greeting we got when we arrived was perfect. We stayed in a beautiful room which had a very comfy large bed. we dined in the restaurant, the food was lovely however the vegetarian meal was not very nice, very bland and no effort, apart from that I can't fault anything else
