"The Lane Apartment is beautiful, modern, comfortable and convenient.
Just off a main road with all amenities and a 25’ walk to the historic centre of Edinburgh, yet so quiet.
It’s modern, well kept and would definitely be using again.

"There is no parking for this place. The parking that they list on their email is only for permit holders. This greatly reduced my rating. The apartment itself could use a good deep clean. Tons of dust, the couch was covered in stains, the blanket on the couch was very smelly and dirty. The location is okay, far walks and bus rides to everything. "

"Lovely apartment for our first night in Scotland. We had everything that we needed and enjoyed the snacks that welcomed us! We couldn't have asked for anything else, besides maybe staying a few more nights! Highly recommend and will stay with again!"

"Can't say enough good things about my stay here - even extended it an extra night because it was so nice. The staff members were all so friendly! Special shout-out to Ed who was so warm and helpful. The nightly hour for complimentary drinks and snacks in the lobby was a real treat, and there were great local books to peruse in the library. Prime location, easy to reach from the airport and close to the tram. The room was spotless, and the kitchenette made for a great added bonus. Plus, a free bottle of wine for Expedia members upon check-in! I will be back! "
"Don’t advertise shuttle service to the Edinburgh Airport! The service has a limited time frame, only to 2pm and doesn’t run on weekends. I chose the Dakota bc it advertised a shuttle. Another irked customer complained to the receptionist as well and was told the “shuttle isn’t even available most days.” So I was out 2x£50 bc of your misleading “amenity.” The receptionist blamed it on Expedia, saying they put it on their app. Ridiculous. Just take it off your list of amenities!"
"They do not have a loading and unloading zone like most hotels, which makes getting your suitcases in and out of the hotel difficult and the parking spots are so narrow that even my compact car had trouble opening the doors on both sides to get in and out of the car. The staff was not helpful with this and overall were unable to answer my questions in a way that made sense. Worst of all, after a long day of traveling I was looking forward to getting into the hot tub but, unlike most hotels I've stayed at, this one closes their hot tub at 9pm and doesn't let anyone in past 8pm. So, I never got to use the hot tub because I couldn't get back to the hotel and into the hot tub or pool by 8pm after eating dinner. The amenities are useless if they aren't available during the times most people want them."
Mount Royal Hotel Edinburgh by The Unlimited Collection
10/10 Excellent
"Before checking in the hotel reached out and asked if I had any special requests or if there was anything I wanted them to know, so I mentioned that my wife and I were celebrating our 12th anniversary and not only did they left us a tray with chocolate and berries but the gave us a complimentary upgrade to a castle view room and it was beautiful, the staff was so nice and helpful that when I go back to Edinburgh I will definitely stay here again, and not to mention the location was amazing."
