  • Let me preface these discoveries by saying that I ended up in Calella haphazardly. It is not necessarily a town that I would generally recommend. It is not your traditional Spanish/Catalan dream destination. It very much looks like something the 70's spit out and no one ever bothered to clean up. With that said, I freaking love this little freakish town, which I quickly & affectionately nicknamed "The Twilight Zone." The strangest occurrences happened throughout the month, yes MONTH, I lived in Calella. Apparently since the 70's, Calella, was a booming tourist destination for Western Europeans and the British. It has been on a massive decline over the past decade. What's left behind though are some fun Dutch and English/Irish pubs, a small welcoming expat community, and one of the most incredible beaches you will ever lay your eyes on. Beautiful clean white sand for miles and crystal clear turquoise water. Parties & bars on the beach, some free concerts in the summer time and of course drinking it allowed as well. If you happen to find yourself here, you must stop in at Beach Boys Club, tell the owners, Brian & Cathy, that Amber sent you. Then hit up Brian for his secret stash of American imported Budweiser (Did you know the bottled stuff is always produced in country? Brian believes the secrets in the water, so he gets the cans from the US. Brian is British, which makes this little story even better.) Also, be prepared to eat a lot of rotisserie chicken.

La struttura non ha niente di speciale è il classico hotel a 3 stelle. Quello che non mi è piaciuto e che in foto c’era la vista mare con balcone e a noi ci hanno messo in una stanza con un balcone piccolino e non sul mare

Hôtel correcte mais personnel agressif

Une personne a l'accueil (avec un gros tatouage ) est une voleuse. Elle m'a facturé des taxes de touristes 14€. Elle était très agressive et très désagréable. Elle voulait me faire faire payer pour mon enfant un supplément d'adulte (enfants de 13 ans). Heureusement que les autres réceptionnistes étaient honnêtes ils m'ont remboursés ce que la personne tatouée m'a volé (ils m'ont rendu 10€ sur les 14€ des taxes de touristes ). Aussi après un orage l'eau est passé à travers les fenêtres et a endommager mes affaires.

De kamer was simpel. Had een klein raam, maar geen uitkijk, De badkamer was klein, maar goed. Inloopdouche, toilet, bidet en wastafelmeubel met spiegel. De kamer was verder voorzien van airco, dat was erg goed. De bedden waren prima. En alles schoon. Elke dag schone handdoeken. Het hotel lag eerste lijns aan het strand en dicht bij centrum van stadje.

El hotel muy barato, pero muy malo

La habitación que nos dieron era impresentable y en el último piso, cuando tenían el hotel prácticamente vació. Pedimos cambiar de habitación y nos dieron otra con manchas en las colchas, y pagando 7 euros mas por persona y día. La cogimos pagando 7 euros por persona y día. Esta por lo menos tenia un baño decente. Estábamos en media pensión, y el agua no entraba. Si querías agua u otro líquido la tenias que comprar o traer de fuera. El wifi por supuesto había que pagarlo aparte. En la TV la mayoría de canales no funcionaban y el los otros se perdía la señal de vez en cuando.

Nice hotel in front of the beach.

I stayed at this hotel for 6 nights with my family (2 kids). The staff was nice and helped us with everything we needed. The room was cleaned every day. The hotel was in front of the beach, and only a couple of minutes walking distance from shops restaurants and bars. Breakfast, dinner and lunch were buffets and the food changed every day, was good and you could take as many thing as you wanted. Thanks to the big variety of food, it was easy to find something that the kids liked! I would definitely go back.

Beautiful Calella

Mont Rosa was a pleasant place to stay-clean, adequate facilities. Few Irish/English tourists more German/ Spanish. Food was basic with not as much variety as I’d expected having stayed in other 3* hotels. Pool and sunning space were ok elevated by the fact that there were not many guests using it. The real selling place of this hotel is the location. It is right across from a lovely fine shale/sand beach and only 5mins away from the hub of Calella. Calella is a beautiful resort for young families and friends who aren’t mad party goers! Though there are clubs around. Atmosphere is relaxed and friendly with people out having a drink, people watching in the late evening. There is a park 10 mins walk from hotel and an outdoor play centre with bouncy castles. There is free face painting at some of the beach bars during the day too. Train station is 15mins walk away which takes you to Barcelona for €5-6 or other resorts. Both Barcelona and Girona airports are only 35 mins away. There is a good market on a Wednesday about 25 minute walk away or you can take a fun wee kiddy train to it and around the resort for a couple of euro from just beside the hotel. I loved Calella as a place and would definitely go back. Looking at the local brochure there is a lot more I’d like to explore. Not sure I’d choose the same hotel but wouldn’t rule it out.

Le doy un 8 de 10. Para repetir.

➡️Recepción un 8 ➡️Habitación interior un 8 ( lo malo que olia a tabaco que entraba por ventana del baño y se escuchaba correr a gente y gritar por el pasillo) ➡️ limpieza un 8 ➡️ camareros un 8 ➡️ comida un 8 ➡️comedor 7 ( faltan más tronas, solo habia 3 y estaban como 5 bebés) ➡️ piscina un 5 ( no tiene rampa,no tiene sombra la puerta va muy dura y suelo resbalaba mucho) ➡️entrada hotel 5 ( la cuesta resbala muchisimo y el bar tiene las mesas en la misma entrada del hotel. También hay una discoteca en la puerta. ➡️ ubicación un 10 ➡️ parking un 7 ( aparque gratis a 5 minutos del hotel) ➡️ascensores un 7 ( hay 2 ascensores pero 1 es dificil de usar ya que hay que subir escaleras y llevo un carrito, mucho para esperar en el otro ascensor) En general me a gustado todo, la comida cada dia variaban y estaba bien buena, el hotel esta en primera linea y rodeado de tiendas y bares. Si vuelvo a Calella volvere a este hotel.. Calidad, precio ✅✔

Quien busque un hotel barato para dormir, ducharse

El hotel es muy antiguo y en las habiataciones que dan al patio interior hay mucho ruido de máquinas. Los baños están reformados y el buffet tiene nota de aprobado. La situación del hotel es lo más positivo, junto a la playa. Hay que tener en cuenta que es un hotel barato y tampoco se puede pedir mucho mas. Quien busque un hotel barato para dormir, ducharse y desayunar, éste es su hotel.

Cheap and basic

When we got there the air conditioning didn't work properly and had to move to another room and then the tv remote didn't work and had to be changed for the third time before we had tv.
