"The hotel and staff were great! Ideal location. The only surprise we had was a daily $$ credit we had to use (or lose) each day. Just about everything onsite was more expensive — so it felt like a sneaky way to upsell. Even basic soda or snacks were so expensive at the hotel and it wasn’t what we wanted to spend the money on."

"I stayed for 4 nights staff was very helpful. Everyday my room was cleaned and taken care of. Beach and restaurants were minutes away walking distance. As a solo traveler I felt very safe. I enjoyed my stay and will be back."

"The Emerald is close to the beach and many reataurants. It was a short drive to Condado and Old San Juan. It also places you in the center of San Juan providing a more authentic experience. The room was spacious. The shower handles kept falling off but everything else in the room was fine. The filtered water machine in the kitchen did not work so we just bought bottled water to use instead. The power went out one evening but the generator kicked in after a few minutes and was able to provide enough power to keep the ac and lights on. Parking was not an issue even though we got in late the first night-just know its not like parking in the states, you drive onto a curb and wedge your car into what would never pass for a space here but is quite normal there. Adjust your expectations-this is not a resort-and you will be fine. If you want to pretend PR is a perfect retreat with no problems, stay in Condado instead. If you want to know what its really like to live in PR stay here."
