"This was a great place to stay. Mary, front desk, helped with accomodations needed for my husbands disabilities and my preferences. The breakfast is great. The pool and laundry facilities clean at all times. I would definitely stay here again. Price was fair. Close to everything we needed: downtown Placerville, Walmart, everything within minutes. Thank you staff!"

"Great Historic Charm in a Perfect Location! If you love vintage hotels with a lot of character, the Historic Cary House is a fantastic place to stay. It’s located right in the heart of downtown Placerville, making it incredibly convenient to step out and explore the town. Because it’s an authentic historic building, everything is on the older side. Just a heads-up for future guests: even though the rooms do have AC, the older infrastructure means it can still get a bit warm inside, so just come prepared for that! That being said, the rooms were very clean, and the beds were nice and comfortable. It's a wonderful, unique spot if you want to soak up some local history!"
