This hotel has a beautiful view of table mountain and is set up so everybody can see it, and it is right on the beach.it is a 20 min drive to the waterfront in cape town for shopping and eating, The hotel restaurant blow fish is really good our waitress was very good.. On the downside there were daily power cuts during our visit, due to world wide circumstances,which you can't blame the hotel for, but this property has massive potential for both its own solar panels or a wind turbine combined with electricty storage, this would make this hotel, immune to power cuts, more eco friendly and more profitable, ... surely a no brainer

Check in was business like and prompt, not very friendly at all. Rooms need a lot of maintenance, carpets fraying, shower drain was blocked. Rooms are spacious though. Not the experience I expected based on images advertised.

Dolphin Beach review
We had a wonderful stay at Dolphin Beach Hotel over Christmas and New Year. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating. The Blow Fish Restaurant which is on the hotel complex is great with fresh fish every day. the bar staff were also excellent and introduced us to several new cocktails. The Beach Cabana accommodation was spacious and provided direct access to the sand dunes and beach The hotel gardens were immaculately kept It would be useful to hire a vehicle as the closest other shops and restaurants are approximately 1km away. The larger shopping center is also approximatley 1km away but it is difficult to access by foot due to a busy dual carriageway. Due to the season it was difficult to find taxis for short distances although Uber was available The hotel location is excellent for Kite Surfing, access to the wine region and central Cape Town was a 30-60 minute drive

The property is perfectly located. Could not be better. Disappointed with check-in although I must add that when I expressed my dissatisfaction, the manager immediate put matters right. I had booked a room based on the pictures on Expedia. It was called a sea view apartment and the pictures clearly show a bedroom and a separate living room, but when we checked-in there was no separate living room, but just the bedroom. I was then given a cabana with a separate living room and an extra bedroom. The pictures on Expedia perfectly matched the cabana, right down to the view and the furniture. The sea view apartment should be relabeled sea view room.

Great location
Friendly staff, great location right on the beach with the classic view of Table Mountain. The hotel also has a very good seafood restaurant. Swimming pool is a bit small. More a splash pool really, but, if you can face the cold water, swimming in the sea is always an option. Apartments have a small kitchen, and there are shops nearby, so you can always prepare your own food if you want.

Home away from home.
Exceptionally friendly staff always willing to lend a hand and gave us information when asked about tourist attractions. Hotel was neat and tidy not to mention spacious. The hotel management upgraded our room for free. Outside were beautiful garden and the beach just a walking distance. Breakfast was very tasty and always served warm. Thanks so much for your warm welcome. 💵 Well spent.

Pleasant stay on the beach facing Table Mountain
I was pleasantly surprised by the spacious en-suite bedroom with a separate lounge and ktchenette for self-catering. Another plus was the large balcony with views over the wetland area. I could have stayed longer!

Superb Location
Spent 7 nights here recently - myself, my wife and our 2-year-old daughter. Room was superbly equipped and had everything we needed. Plenty of space too and lots of storage. If I had to be picky, the room was quite dated and could do with a refurb soon. The satellite TV was nearly always struggling with certain channels too. Reception just appeared to be bad at various times. But this is an ideal place to explore Cape Town from and the surrounding areas are very peaceful.

Truly awful experience never again
It was disgusting. Room floor filthy place freezing have a oil heater burnt my hand moving it. Asked for another heater brought a tacky small fan heater. Room stinks smoke furniture smells. Called three times for a plug. Oven top disgusting wouldn't even cook on that so rusted. Towels smelt awful. Changed rooms freezing everything old basic. Again smell smoke. I checked out early awful awul experience

Excellent Beach Front Cabana
Excellent stay in a beach front cabana that provides great access to beach dunes and long walks on the pristine South Atlantic sands. Our room is also just a 2 minute walk to the Blowfish Restaurant where morning breakfasts were served and which serves amazing seafood in the evening - services is great and the food excellent. Helpful friendly staff at the front desk, at check-in and when we were leaving.
