"I was disappointed that with a 3 day stay, I did not get any maid service until I asked for it. Even then, I had to go to the front desk to get more coffee. There was a loose light panel in the bathroom. When I reported it, it was fixed promptly. The shuttle service was very good and I appreciate the fact that they would take us to a restaurant and pick us up. The breakfast was very good."

"It is a great hotel. The facilities are new-looking, and the EV charging is free. plentiful and handy, and the breakfast has many options -- including for vegans. We did have a closet door falling off, and there were no signs explaining how to lower the blinds (it was an unlabled walls switch far from the blinds). I would suggest signage on that."

"Its proximity to the Clinic and the staff at the Essex are the only positive attributes. Other than that, some minor remodeling has occurred over the last 25 years I’ve stayed at the Kahler Grand. We’re seriously considering our options for future visits to Mayo."

"Coming to visit the Mayo Clinic was a difficult journey, yet every single employee we had contact with was amazing! We felt well cared for and our every need was met! The breakfast was wonderful each day; the front desk folks were always helpful and thoughtful. We greatly appreciated the rides to various parts of Mayo whenever we needed to be there. We will definitely return."

"Great value for this property. Room and public area was clean and the person checking me in was very helpful. The filtered water machine on every floor was great as well. My only complaint was that I was leaving late in the afternoon to go to the airport, but had to check out of my room prior so had several hours to kill at the hotel; and they could not provide me a general key that allowed access to the pool or gym while I waited to go to the airport. Other than that, everything was great."
