"Staff were very friendly and attentive full marks. Breakfast was excellent local produce tried as much as possible but highly recommend the sausages, brown bread, yogurt and cheese. I’m not a breakfast person but this is probably the best I’ve had in any hotel."

Riverside Park Hotel and Leisure Club

Riverside Park Hotel and Leisure Club

8/10 Good
"We stayed in a family room, and the layout was genuinely well thought‑out — plenty of space and comfortable for all of us. That said, there was a huge iron burn right in the middle of the carpet, which is hard to miss, and the room safe didn’t work. Nothing disastrous, but definitely things the hotel should tidy up. The staff overall were excellent: friendly, helpful, and really welcoming. The only exception was the young lad on reception at check‑in. I mentioned that Expedia said “pay on arrival” even though my card had already been charged that morning, and instead of clarifying or passing it on, I got a confused stare and a vibe like I’d just asked him to solve quantum physics. Slightly awkward moment. Breakfast was genuinely fantastic — great quality and a highlight of the stay. Dinner, however, felt off: prices were on the high side, but the food didn’t match the cost. It wasn’t bad, just dated and not quite worth what they’re charging. Overall: good rooms, brilliant staff (bar one), excellent breakfast, but dinner needs a rethink and the room maintenance could be sharper."

Ferrycarrig Hotel

Ferrycarrig Hotel

10/10 Excellent
"Beautiful hotel. Our room looked brand new, with a sitting area, desk, huge shower, Nespresso machine. Unique modern furnishings. My favorite part is the wellbeing center - beautiful pool, aromatic steam and sauna, all spacious, natural light, with an exit to the outdoor terrace and river. I managed to watch the sunrise from the hot tub as it opens at 6:30. Friendly staff and excellent restaurant too - with extra starters and a very elegant menu. There is also a bar which also serves food, with a lot of seating outdoor with river view as well. I wish I stayed longer!"

"Lovely clean spacious apartment . Check in after 4pm was very late when only staying one night . Called to reception earlier to supply details etc but still queued 40 mins to get the key so after 4.40 pm when we could access the room .only one person processing check in . Not enough seats for long queue of people waiting in small crowded entrance with bags . The room was extremely hot , like a sauna as all windows were closed and there is no air conditioning. There was a small fan which we used in the kitchen. Living room and one small ei dis which could be opened . The bedrooms had larger door openings so temperature be regulated better there . Kitchen was very well equipped . Nice YV and comfortable seating area ."
