"It was a little tough to find the place, but once I did the stay was great. The owner lives in a new house on the lake and rents out the bottom floor to guests. James was very helpful in getting me settled. Everything is new and up to date. The place is a couple miles outside Oughterard village so you probably need a car to best enjoy the place "

Perfect for discovering Westport, Mayo & Connemara

9.4 out of 10, Exceptional, (3)
"When we walked into the Stone House, we were overwhelmed. It really is a gem of a place. Location is fantastic. So much love and care has been put in to the cottage. Perfect for families and dogs. We had our two doggies. It’s so well equipped to withstand the busyness that comes when travelling with a family. We didn’t want to leave! The children loved the comfort. It was just the most perfect place to come home to after a busy day sight seeing. We will definitely return."

The condo is well equipped for cooking and eating in or super close to many restaurant and pub options. Bring your own ground coffee though if that is a must have for you! Quite close to Connemara National Park and the abbey - and so much more! I would definitely stay here again."
