This is a cute little resort although it is dated. The restaurant and bar on site is a bonus. The apartments are spacious. We stayed only one night and it was adequate.

Great apartment for the price

For the cheap price we paid, we were very pleased with our stay. Pros - spacious apartment, good shower, indoor and outdoor pools, basically equipped kitchen, kettle, hairdryer on request at reception, excellent maid service, fresh towels daily, shower gel and hand wash provided in bathroom, lots of drawers and cupboard space and hangers provided Cons - dated decor, sofa bed is not great even for 2 kids to sleep on, kitchen could have had some basics such as a scouring pad and washing liquid, oven difficult to use, uncomfortable mattress on bed

Enjoyed our stay. The property is old and traditional. The grounds are well kept. The staff were exceptionally courteous. We ate twice at the restaurant and the food was excellent. It is a 25 minute walk to the beach and a 8 euro cab back after having a few beverages. Feragudo and Portimao are close by and the grocery store is about a 10 minute walk. If you have transportation you will find it a very nice area without the hustle and bustle of the beach area. Not a new and splashy resort but an excellent choice regardless. Thoroughly recommend!

Cute place overall. Very removed from other places, so was not able to get our pastry for the morning or any fresh fruit. They are very eco friendly, have a garbage bag for all recyclables, which is fabulous. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The place was clean, but VERY dated. The furniture was warped, which made it look bad, but a sanding and a coat of paint would have worked wonders. I would stay here again, but definitely would prep for not being near a mercado, etc.

Location for Carvoeiro / Portimao is excellent. About 50 minutes out from Faro airport. The property is in need of a little repair / maintenence and updating. However, the team on site are excellent and value on site is great. We would stay again and hope that some of the updating has progressed. Really helpful arranging hire car*, service at the restaurant and bar were excellent. The town of Carvoeiro which has some fantastic restaurants is a 10 minute drive/Uber and the supermarket Apolina and Lidl or Aldi is only a 10 minute drive/Uber away also. All in all a really nice stay for a one week family break. *for our family the conveneince of a hire car was essential. However, Uber prices are very reasonable and may save you against the cost of a hire car, the responsibilty and the hassle of dealing with airport hire car locations.

Return to the place after the first positive experience. First received a two family apartment for one family incl 4 rooms split in two floors with the two bathrooms and kitchen. It's a local habit that guests have to buy dishwashing fluid by themselves. Hmm... this is strange since the cost would be minimal and would encourage the guest to take better care of the dishes. Lots of space. AC was not cooling properly and TV programs disconnected all the time. Great outdoor and indoor pool areas. Second visit to the place one day later we received two room family apartment with kitchen on the 2nd flr. AC not much better and 'fresher' air. Site offers possibility for tennis too. Two courts in perfect conditions, but where are the players. Free parking at the site great, but guests should respect that each parks their car in front of the apartment door. Once paroking sport per apartment. Looks like this was too demanding for some guests

O hotel é lindo, super agradável, próximo à praias lindas, com uma boa estrutura de lazer, piscinas grandes, coberta e descoberta, quadras de tenis e um café da manhã muito gostoso e com boa variedades, apenas as mesmas todos os dias. Se os banhos forem longos ou muitas pessoas no mesmo quarto, a agua quente da caixa acaba e é necessário esperar uma hora para encher novamente. Ficamos em um quarto no andar de cima em que é necessário subir escadas. Estacionamos o carro na porta do quarto sem problemas ou custo. O atendimento é solicito e pudemos deixar as malas após o check out.

Ótimo custo/benefício

Adoramos várias coisas deste hotel, como o café da manhã muito bem servido, atendimento da funcionária Tatiane que nos ajudou muito. O visual externo do hotel é muito bonito tanto os jardins como a piscina externa. Mas tem alguns pontos que podem ser melhorados. O cheiro no banheiro que deve ser por falta do sifão. O chuveiro que é dentro da banheira e que sai um cheiro de gordura corporal. O ideal seria ser um box. O sistema de aquecimento da água só aquece 30 litros de cada vez então você precisa tomar cuidado na hora do banho pois se usou a torneira na pia da cozinha ou banheiro antes e uma pessoa tomar banho a segunda já fica com a água fria. Isso aconteceu comigo no primeiro dia pois não sabiamos deste fato. E demora para a caixa de 30 litros encher e aquecer. Então a dica é usar primeiro o chuveiro e ser um banho mais rápido principalmente da primeira pessoa que tomar banho, para a segunda não ficar na água fria. Porém numa estadia com crianças já vai ficar complicado. Outro porém é dizer que a piscina coberta é aquecida e a mesma não é. Só é coberta. Os hóspedes europeus usam até a descoberta e não sentem frio, mas nós brasileiros não gostamos de água fria e quis relaxar na piscina coberta e não consegui pois estava muito fria. Avaliação final que apesar destes inconvenientes gostamos muito do hotel, da atmosfera de um pequeno povoado, bom atendimento, dos jardins bem cuidados, o que nos fez achar que foi um ótimo custo benefício também pelo tamanho da acomodação.
