Everything was great. I did have a problem with the air conditioner at first it wasn’t working properly. They fixed it though so I can’t complain too much.

First of all, my review is on no reflection of the staff. They were actually the best part of our stay. I give them high marks. As far as the hotel property is concerned, I wouldn’t stay there again. I booked the room because of the kitchenette. When we went to heat up our leftovers, It did not work. I was sent to an unoccupied room in the lower level to use the microwave in there. Our bathroom did not shut completely. I went with a friend and obviously we could not have complete privacy when using the restroom. When my friend went to cut her leftovers , the large steak knife was loose at the hinge and she couldn’t use that either. The bed was a little smaller that I anticipated for 2 people. One more thing, at first, the safe wouldn’t open. A maintenance man swiftly fixed it. It worked for the first few days and then it would not accept the code I had been using all along. Once again I had to contact the desk for maintenance. Unfortunately it was later in the evening and I had to wait til morning. My iPad was in there so I could not use it as I had planned until the next day. I had asked to move our room and the fellow at the front desk said he could not until the next morning, which we did. The microwave worked, the bathroom door shut and the safe worked. We only ended up in that room for one night. I won’t be going back there again. I do thank the folks who worked there as they were very pleasant.

great location, clean rooms, modern amenities, food, coffee shop, digital elevators, streamingTVs. Rooftop bar very nice BUT we got cheated because I paid nearly $400 to see the fireworks from rooftop ——and I guess July 4, 2026 tix not selling as expected b/c they let in guests who did NOT pay $150 a ticket and were trying to differentiate it, I suspect, based upon an open bar which my ticket provided — BUT I wasn’t interested in. They told me that no one was being allowed up there without purchasing the event tickets when I called as I was planning my trip. and I bought them. we arrived as the open bar was ending, which didn’t matter because I paid for access to fireworks (which were barely visible on the East River, this place is 3 1/2 blocks from the Hudson on the complete opposite side) It was the worst firework show ever since I was a child. It was horrible. I could’ve seen it better from a Citi-Bike on 1st Avenue better. but that part’s not their fault … The oppressive rooftop pricing was on them. And then letting people on the roof without a cover charge was after soaking me, was obnoxious and offensive. And don’t tell me that the rooftop bar & the restaurants are independent entities, they are completely interrelated- to say otherwise is disrespectful and disingenuous as they cross-market every chance they get. As to the property—be mindful that the basic rooms are boutique. no room to put anything. no drawers. no space. of course you can always upgrade.

Staff was great. Lobby was lovely. Rooms were a little tired and could use updating, but the beds were comfortable. Water pressure in shower was good, but not a ton of water flow.

I frequently stay at Hampton Inn. I’ll first say the staff were very polite and helpful. We had no issue there. The rooms are extremely small, which I guess is the norm in NYC. The carpets should be replaced. They’re pretty gross, but the beds were clean. We didn’t enjoy the food there at all and they had difficulties accommodating all of the guests. The nice gentleman working was trying hard to keep the food filled. I think he needs help. The gym, because the rooms are so small, have some medicine balls and I believe 1 treadmill and 1 elliptical. As far as location, it was pretty great. You could easily walk to many places or public transportation.
