We spent our last 3 days in Sicily at Bio Momentum and it was the perfect place to relax and recharge after lots of sightseeing. The food is excellent and the pool area very calming. If you’re looking for a place to truly unwind, this is it. Only downside: there’s not much within walking distance.

Gorgeous property. I rarely sit by a pool and we did that - after a tiring travel day. Dinner was great too. The rooms were comfortable and the staff held our luggage for the morning while we went out exploring.

The property itself was beautiful-amazing room, stunning pool and grounds. Unfortunately the staff and services were sparse and the dinner in the dining room was one of our least favorite in Sicily. The word that comes to mind is indifferent. But the facility is both beautiful and convenient to Selinunte which should not be missed.

Almost perfect

This hotel has a lot going for it, and I don’t regret coming here. The food has been fantastic — breakfast, lunch, and dinner were all fresh, flavorful, and consistently excellent. The rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable, with great beds, a beautiful bathroom. The pool is lovely, the sauna and steam room (though small) were nice, and the massage room itself was very well done. The gym is compact but workable if it’s just one or two people, and I appreciated that yoga mats were provided. Overall, the property is relaxing and set up nicely. But the service fell far short. The front desk experience was mostly good. The staff members were kind and helpful. But by the pool and breakfast area, service overall was slow and VERY inattentive. Only one waitress really knew what she was doing; the rest seemed untrained and unsure. Around the pool, there’s supposedly a bar and staff, but not once during our entire stay did anyone come around to check on guests. Thankfully, we were able to get massages but when we tried to book other treatments for the following few days, we were told nothing was available. For a place marketing itself as a wellness retreat, operating with only one or two massage therapists yet advertising a full range of treatments feels misleading. And finally, while the pool itself is gorgeous, the constant hum of what sounds like an AC takes away from the relaxing environment. All in all, Momentum Wellness was relaxing and exactly what I wanted.

A beautiful oasis

A beautiful hotel with great rooms and a magnificent outdoors. The outside ate has everything you want, a lounge, a dining area, a pool and a great view over the olive garden. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. Make sure you use the spa which includes a jacuzzi, steam bath and sauna.

Wonderful, but not perfect.

Beautiful hotel, with wonderful service, but some small details could be better. Breakfast is fine, but lacks variety and quality. Eg two cheap ham/salami but no Palma ham. Lack of variety of cut fruits. No melon two days running (there’s a supermarket round the corner). Cheese is poor quality. Room often not cleaned until mid/late afternoon. No spare toilet rolls left in bathroom. These are minor matters and overall the hotel and staff are fabulous.

Unexpected bad experience

Seeing the beautiful pictures and the good reviews of the hotel, we were convinced to have a great experience here at Momentum. To be honest the resort looks more beautiful than the pictures so we were very happy about what we have been offered during check-in ( who was speaking perfect English ) we also enjoyed the spa and the same evening we had a nice dinner in the restaurant of the hotel. Then it all turned into a nightmare, because I had food poisoning from the restaurant. All night was horrible. The next morning we went to the reception to checkout, and I tried to explain that I had food poisoning from the restaurant, the receptionist didn’t understand what I said, because she spoke no English, and she didn’t call anyone else to help understand what we said. She just asked for the payment of the restaurant, and said “ thank you for your stay, bye” that’s it. I believe we are living in an era of value selling in hotel business, so the whole package is very important. The personal interaction and understanding is the most important part of a holistic stay experience. I also understand these kind of food poisoning can happen everywhere. If the receptionist would try to understand what I said, and try to comfort me by saying something, my whole experience from Momentum would be totally different.

Une bonne expérience à plusieurs égards

Nous ne sommes pas restés dans cet hôtel assez longtemps pour profiter pleinement des installations (hammam, piscine, terrasse avec vue sur les oliviers, etc) et la météo ne nous a pas aidés non plus. Ceci dit, nous avons bien apprécié la beauté et la propreté des lieux. Excellent petit-déjeuner et personnel très attentionné. Merci à Raffaele et Cosimo. Deux bémols qui ont réduit quelque peu notre engouement. 1) l’eclairage en chambre mériterait d’être revu (difficile à moduler donc impossible de bénéficier d’un éclairage ambiant confortable; lampes de chevet trop éblouissantes, lumière extérieure sur la terrasse trop forte pour s’y installer le soir). 2) les prix des plats et des vins au restaurant sur place sont indécents et semblent conçus pour profiter de l’isolement des lieux. Nous avons assez bien mangé, mais n’avons pas saisi comment le restaurant s’intègre au concept du resort qui habite un ancien Baglio (carte limitée avec trop peu de verdure, accent faible sur les produits du terroir, présentation formelle et peu généreuse). Nous y avons mangé parce que nous étions fatigués après plusieurs heures de route, mais j’aurais franchement préféré un bon repas simple et rustique dans une petite trattoria... ceci dit, c’est un nouvel hôtel qui a beaucoup de potentiel si de petits détails sont ajustés.

The best Hotel in Sicily!

From the moment we arrived we knew we had made the right choice. The welcome drinks and discussion in the reception went down very well. The hotel had kindly upgraded us to the master suite. No requests! The room was very big and well presented. I understand that the hotel has recently been refurbished. The spa facilities aren’t really shown in the hotel photos on Expedia but they are fantastic. My wife and I would often be the only people there. The swimming pool, tennis courts and small extra features kept us entertained. So much so that we spent an extra night. There must be a special mention on the breakfast and restaurant. The food was always outstanding. The service was so personal and respectful. My wife commented on a dish and joked about getting taught how to make it. The waiter gave my wife a copy of the chef’s cook book for free! We wish we could have stayed longer. Thank you so much for restoring my faith in hospitality. Grazie
