"A beautiful hotel in a lovely setting with the sound of the river when you sat on the terrace. The staff were exceptional and always ready to help with any request. The room was very comfortable, lovely big bed and superb bathroom."
"Comfortable beds and clean rooms. There was a noisy extractor fan or generator somewhere very close that ran all night. A kettle would have been better in than a fancy coffee machine."
"Excellent stay whilst attending a friends event nearby. Lovely, quirky place with bike paraphernalia dotted around. Great location near local facilities. Staff at cafe very friendly. Will definitely stay again "
"Room in an old country inn. Room fairly basic but fine for a night or two. Close enough to Exeter to be accessible. Staff very helpful and knowledgeable about the area. Would stay again if in the area. "
"Very friendly, professional staff, nicely planted beer garden, and well tended. Good food, excellent service.
Top room was very hot on arrival, but there was a fan,and we coped with the window open wide."

"Lovey hotel. We went for an afternoon tea gift. Which was amazing. Everything baked in house. We made a weekend of it with an overnight stay. Staff very very friendly and nothing too Much trouble. Location is wonderful with a couple of good walks.
Rooms very clean and homely. Food very very good. You really do feel spoilt. "
"Wonderful pub and accommodation. The people are very welcoming, friendly and helpful. This 16th century public house still supports many original features making its atmosphere charming. The room was fairly small, a double bed and the small wardrobe made it tight to get to the bathroom but it was very clean and comfortable. Street Parking is available in front of the pub for free but only from 6pm till 9am so you need to move the car at 9am. The food was good but pricier than either of the 2 public houses within staggering distance. Breakfast was well presented and good choices. The church across the road is beautiful inside, well worth a look. "
"I had quite high hopes for this cottage and had seen it a few times before and not booked for one reason or another. I am so pleased I did. It is in a gorgeous position on a quiet lane overlooking fields and completely private and quiet. The stream at the front makes a wonderful sound and always made me happy. The gardens go around the house which is nice for exploring and we didn’t spend any time in the garden really (it was October) but the table and chairs made me think how lovely it would be to sit or eat outside in the after, drier months. The house itself is so warm and cosy and whereas the kitchen is not big and you slightly manoeuvre around the table, it was such.a lovely centre of the house and very warm thanks to the Aga. The dogs loved it. We did use the downstairs snug and sofa bed, our 16 year old son was very happy with the set up, own space and shower room and we had the three upstairs. My mum had the single which suited her well (it is small) and my daughter happy in the double. We had the big room which is a wonderful and has the comfiest (enormous) bed we had ever slept in! I loved sitting up in bed listening to the stream outside in the morning. The bathroom was down for us although the bath is a bit awkward for older, less agile, people. The only downside is the very loud creaky floorboards which we had to learn to navigate / avoid during the night and early morning because they easily make enough noise to disturb.or wake. I suspect they are tricky to fix."
