"The hotel is a “one of a kind”. Located in the historic part of Quito in a former large colonial home. The ornamental paintings on all the walls create an indoor garden atmosphere. Our room was quite large with a comfortable king size bed. The washroom is well appointed. The breakfast was fresh and delicious. Eggs are made to order. The artisanal bread was a nice touch. There is no elevator, so ask for a room on a lower floor if you have mobility challenges or think the high altitude might make a little tricky to climb too many stairs. The location is close enough to walk to many of the main attractions in the old town. We only had breakfast at the hotel so we can’t comment on their dinner. There’s an excellent restaurant just next door and in the other direction, about a minute away are several family run restaurants that are worth trying We can’t emphasize enough how attentive, kind and helpful the staff are at this hotel. Staying at La Casona was a terrific part of our Quito experience. "

"The staff at Adamas hotel are so accommodating and helpful. The complimentary fresh fruit and wine delivered to our room was such a nice touch. The room was so clean and comfortable. "I wish our stay could have been longer! The suite is very big and comfortable. While retaining architectural features of the 200-year old building, it has all modern comforts. The kitchen is fully stocked for guests to make their own breakfast. Staff speak excellent English. Really really nice! "
