The Space:
Originally built in 1820, this magnificent home was taken all the way down to its studs in an extensive renovation in order to expose its rich history while providing modern day luxuries. You wont find another house quite like this to make your Charleston trip the best it can be!

This is a classic Charleston home made up of two units A&B, this is the listing for Unit A (downstairs unit). The entire unit is yours, so there are no shared spaces except for the driveway area. During the remodel we went to great lengths (open cell spray foam, 1 inch quiet sheetrock and vibration barrier) to ensure the house stays very quiet from one unit to the other so this is not your typical duplex!

With its friendly neighbors, cozy restaurants, and tree lined streets, our neighborhood will immerse you in Charleston’s classic charm. This house is perfect for a family or group seeking a fun, culinary and cultural vacation. Popular dining spots in the neighborhood include Xiao Bao Biscuit, Fuel, Porchetta Shop, Southbound, R Kitchen, Chubby Fish and many more! Our guests and neighbors also rave about Welton's Tiny Bakeshop and Kudu Coffee. We recommend going to either for a cup of locally-roasted coffee or their delicious cookies and cakes. The house is only a short walk from the very popular King Street where you will find a multitude of great shops – including antique shops, book stores and fashion boutiques – as well as endless buzzing restaurants and bars.

You can walk almost everywhere - but should you want to rest your feet, there are many other options for getting around: Uber, Lyft, Charleston Bike Taxi, Charleston Rickshaw, Green Taxi or Yellow Cab.

This was the absolute perfect place for our quick 48hr girls trip to Charleston. Each of us being able to have not only our own room, but also our own bathroom was amazing. Also, one of the best beds I’ve ever kept in - so comfy. You can’t beat the location of being just a couple blocks off King street. We were able to walk to everything we wanted to see.

It’s a lovely home in a fantastic neighborhood. Had we experienced anyone other than a bachelorette party upstairs, it would have been perfect. We would love to rent again, if we got the UPSTAIRS unit.

Great property that is well taken care of. We had 4 adults and two kids and utilized 2 of the bedrooms, the bunk beds are an amazing addition. The living area is just the perfect size and allowed us all a place to relax when not out and play games in the evening. We really enjoyed the location, easy access to a number of coffee shops and restaurants. Super easy access to 26 so we could jump over to Mount Pleasant, Sullivan's Island, and many of the other locations in the area.

Our family book a last minute getaway to Charleston during my older daughters college spring break and before my youngest started high school lacrosse. We stayed Saturday through Tuesday (I wish we could have stayed longer). The space was very comfortable and had everything we needed. It's a perfect location to walk to Kings Street for shopping and restaurants. The front room was a little noisy, but the owners provided sound machines which was very helpful. Great location, all the amenities we needed....would definitely stay again.

The property is in a great location just a couple blocks from King and close to an array of restaurants. The only drawback was that there is no table to eat at which made it difficult for 8 people. Also, there were some items missing from the kitchen but the owner readily available and got us what we needed in no time. Overall we had a really nice stay.

We paid over 1800 for 3 nights. We were a party of six adults and a baby. The place was very cramped. Our car was door dinged by the guests staying upstairs. Parking is extremely tight. There is only room for five to sit in the living room. There is only seating for four in the kitchen. Major dust residue throughout, smell of mold, backed up shower, no pressure at kitchen sink, filthy bathroom sink and floor. Squeaky bed in the queen/bunk room. Very disappointed with interior. Location was great and communication was great.

Everything about this place was ideal. We are traveling with friends, three couples, and each couple had their own private bedroom with a private bath, individual climate controls in the rooms, television in two of the bedrooms, and an immaculate, well-organized, modern kitchen in a very old traditional Charleston Home. We could not have asked for anything more. The property manager was so responsive to every one of our needs and answered all our questions. We highly recommend the little gourmet French restaurant across the street, Bistronomy. Excellent food and just 20 steps from our front door. We will be back.

We were super impressed from the moment we pulled into the shell covered driveway. The home is in a perfect location. It is super close to restaurants and nightlife. The home is exactly as pictured and described. It is spacious and extremely clean. The host, David, is a delight to work with and responded immediately to any questions. He made sure that we were all set prior to the trip and he checked on us upon arrival to make sure that everything was great! The outdoor area was a nice bonus! We enjoyed our morning coffee and lunch on the large table. Also, the umbrella offered us the perfect amount of shade. The beautiful palm trees and greenery truly felt like a tropical paradise. We hope to make it back to Charleston and would love to stay here again!

Rented this nicely appointed renovated home from 12/23-12/27. This home was clean, nice linens and easy to get to downtown Charleston by Uber—about 1+ mile away. Unfortunately, throughout our stay we experienced electrical issues, i.e. heater not working in family room area, tv in family room shut off for 5 minutes at a time and would turn back on; bathroom lights flickered; stove, dishwasher and microwave worked sporadically. During our stay, I communicated with David about the reoccurring electrical issues. He was responsive and apologized for any inconvenience. On the second to last day, he said he would send the Power company out to see if there was a connection issue coming from outside as well as send an electrician to look into electrical concerns. No one from the Power company came during our stay. A day after we left, David said he had an electrician and the Power company come to the home and no one detected any of the electrical issues I reported. This left us perplexed and concerned......

This property was in a great location just off King Street. Lots of great restaurants all around. Beds were super comfortable. Renter was very responsive to all questions about switching unit to heat and to letting us keep our bags there a little after checkout. Plenty of towels. Washer and dryer was there for quick use if needed. Would stay there again!!
