"Somewhat mixed feelings. We arrived and the budget room we had booked was tiny and had no draw space to put clothes and only a rail to hang things. We requested a larger room and got one at an extra cost which was fine. The location was stunning over looking a field of sunflowers (its a shame they had gone past their best. We chose the hotel as it was out of the town but had a restaurant, unfortunately it was not open on the night we arrived (Friday night!) so we had to walk the busy road...

"The Maison de Tari is a perfect place to stay for families looking to explore the area around Sarlat. We stayed in a family room with three small children and it suited us perfectly. "We love this property, Waffa the proprietor was so sweet and helpful. She helped us make reservations and the breakfast each morning was the best we’ve ever had. Don’t miss out on staying at this property if you are in the area. Also, they served us wine and appetizers in their outdoor bar near the heated pool! Quaint and delicious."

"Lovely two bedroom house with many outdoor spaces. The host was very helpful in explaining and showing us around the property. He also lives next door so is available for any problems and speaks excellent English. There is a pool which is shared with another property but was lovely, and there is a separate terrace next to the pool where you can watch the hot air balloons go by in the evenings. Bear in mind that the property does not have air conditioning and even at the end of September it was quite hot at night in the bedrooms. We mainly catered for ourselves rather than going out to eat, and the kitchen had everything we needed, including an espresso machine and a dishwasher. Lots to do in the area and plenty to see, although a car is definitely needed as although the village is lovely, there are no shops within walking distance."

Vincent, the owner, provided detailed instructions and thoughtful recommendations for restaurants and local markets, making our visit effortless and memorable. This villa offered the French Provincial experience we, as two city-dwelling Americans, were seeking. While Beynac may look enchanting online, in person it truly feels like a fairytale village. I highly recommend a visit—just remember to pack comfortable sneakers, as the hilly streets make heels impractical!"

Martine met us as we drove up and led us to the place, gave us a detailed tour and with Andrea, they both then gave us information about the area. They were both delightful.The place had everything we needed and we appreciated the welcome snacks!Eating breakfast on our outdoor patio was wonderful. We would come here again, hopefully soon!"
