Visitors will find local amenities in Beadnell (0.5 miles) and the horseshoe-shaped bay there is famous for its golden sands and water sports. This cottage is between from two historically-important castles of the Northumberland coastline – imposing Bamburgh (5.5 miles), made popular in recent times by the TV show ‘The Last Kingdom’, and the ruins at Dunstanburgh 9.5 miles away. Drive over the causeway from Beal to Lindisfarne (19.5 miles), and make sure you know the tide times so as not to get cut off from the mainland!
