Beautiful little lodge with lovely views overlooking orchard in a stunning location. Owner lovely and helpful. Was a perfect location for a relaxing stay where we could just switch off. Would definitely book again and our dogs loved it too!
This maisonette was a great base for us to explore the area (Stonehenge, Bath) and then head back into London for our flight in the morning.
It is a comfortable space. It is quite bright due to the skylights. The two minor inconveniences were a weak WiFi signal, and the rustic cooktop made it harder to prepare supper.
I needed a couple of nights away to take my poorly dog away from what was going to be a hectic weekend.
The Lodge was more than we hoped for. It was a beautiful retreat, totally relaxing and wonderful to wander through the orchard with my stressed pup.
The images on the listing don’t do it justice, it’s a very light space and feels airy and bright. I was able to sit outside and enjoy the evening until the breeze picked up.
Comfy bed, great (v large) shower and cute kitchen facilities.
The lodge was very comfortable and well equipped. However, 2 things let it down.... the doors didn't close properly, and for me the biggest one was no wifi. Its listed as available but I could'nt get it to work, that combined with poor mobile signal made it difficult to make arrangements with family locally. Very nice non the less.
Excellent little self catering lodge in a wonderful countryside setting. Great for walks, but also convenient for nearby market town of Devizes and other places of interest such as Bath.
Very pleasant stay. Just as described. Loved the horses walking into the orchard and the lovely sunsets in the evening. All the little touches left by Crystal made you feel welcome. So glad we chose this lodge.
Very private space with a view of the owners horses in the orchard. Secure small gravelled garden just right for our little dog. The Lodge itself has been furnished to a good quality standard with a lot of airy room in a small space. Comfortable bed.
The owner was welcoming and had left pastries, biscuits, tea, coffee and milk. Great to have things like oil, salt, pepper and cleaning stuff.
Only downsides were temperamental WiFi and the adjacent footpath into the village centre which was blocked with nettles and brambles.
Lots of lovely walks in the area. The Cross Keys was a nice walk across fields for a welcoming drink. The Greyhound in Bromham served good food.
I would definitely recommend.
The lodge was a very beautiful place to stay, design beautifully and kept beautifully. Spotless. Unique. Very relaxing, situated in a quite rural area. Crystel was a great host, very organised and had planned for everything to make sure our family was comfortable during our stay.
A beautiful lodge situated in a quiet rural area of Wiltshire. This property was a perfect base for us to visit the local area.
The property was clean and beautifully decorated. We all had a lovely time and felt very relaxed.
Absolutely beautiful lodge spotless and unique place to stay. Nothing was too much trouble for Crystel the owner, even lending a stand up fan for the hottest weekend of the year.. thank you.xxx
The lodge is well appointed, spacious and is in an excellent location for visiting local attractions. It is wonderfully peaceful and private. There is a patio area outside, allowing guests to sit and enjoy the attractive paddock and garden. Crystel, the host, is friendly and helpful. We will have no hesitation in returning at a future date.
Nice little cottage conversion which was very clean and tidy on our arrival. Nice touches included milk and jam left in the fridge. Host very welcoming and friendly. Situated in a quiet area but only an hours drive to Bath and other nice locations. Bristol, Weston Super Mare, Wells, Marlborough etc. Our dog was made welcome even though the hosts dog and ours had a barking competition most days! Local park about 1 mile away for dog walking. Plenty of eateries and take away's a short drive away. Our only disappointment was that the wi fi was not working for the week. Sure this will be rectified.
We picked this property as a self catering small space for us to enjoy a staycation with the option to eat back at the lodge if we couldn't find places outside to eat (Covid!)
We had a few nice evenings sitting in the secure part of the lodge eating dinning and letting our sausage dog run about without worry that he would get out.
We visited lots of local attractions and the lodge was in a great location to drive out to all of them (Calne, Devizes, Lacock, Westbury etc)
The host came to say hello on our first day but then left us alone which was nice.
What a beautiful place this is. My partner and our pup had a wonderful time.
Crystel has put a lot of thoughtful details into the lodge and generously welcomed us with nibbles, wine & milk in the fridge.
We stayed 3 nights but would've loved to stay longer.
The orchard is very handy to take dogs for a stroll and you can say hello to the pony in the morning - just a perfect atmosphere.
Our family of five had a great stay. The kids enjoyed being welcomed by the horses every time we came back. The place is a little cozy for 5 people, but it lived up to its billing.
This was a lovely property with all that you would need for a short break.
The host was very welcoming and made us feel welcome like a home from home.
Very relaxing and thoroughly enjoyed our stay here thank you very much
My mum, her husband and sister had a lovely stay her le whilst coming to visit us. Extremely clean, good for disabilities and thought of all the essentials and little touches. Thank you very much.
