We had a fantastic stay at Patch Hill House. It's a beautifully kept home in a lovely location and has all of the amenities you'd need for a great stay.
The house was very comfortable, the rooms were spacious and well equipped, the garden was large and would be great for families in the summer. The house was warm and cosy. Good location, with pub and playground within walking distance, and a lovely walk through field on the doorstep.

Lovely country cottage
We enjoyed our stay at Patch Hill House. The kitchen was especially well equipped with everything we could need to cook during our stay. A very peaceful location with a lovely walking path directly from the house. We had dinner one night at the local pub and it was delicious. Very friendly owner.

Beautiful Summer Holidays in Oxfordshire
We spent a wonderful week of summer holidays in this beautiful Cotswold house, hiking, biking, and visiting London and Oxford by train from Charlbury. A very nice house, well furnished, although the kitchen is still lacking a few kitchen utensils. The garden is ideal for children to play.

Lovely pre Christmas break
We stayed here for a few days in December as we were visiting Christmas at Blenheim Palace. Perfect location and lots to do in the area. The house is lovely and spacious, the kitchen being the highlight and there is a Nespresso coffee machine! The garden is large and fully enclosed which was perfect for our Cocker Spaniel. However there were a few minor things to note, the bathroom while generally clean had not been deep cleaned for some time, cobwebs, dust and a bug infestation around the window frame. The upstairs en-suite bathroom again would have benefitted from a deep clean. There was no microwave in the kitchen just an oven and an air fryer so no way of heating anything quickly. The outside wheelie bins were missing until our last morning when they suddenly reappeared from somewhere! also no information in the property regarding recycling rules or where to put glass bottles.

Wonderful Birthday weekend
Booked for our daughter’s 30th birthday weekend. So well equipped ( but note no microwave) and absolute home from home. One of the best holiday cottages we have stayed in and wished we could have stayed longer. Great location for Cotswolds villages, Cotswold Wildlife park ( which we lived) and if you are so inclined close enough to visit Diddly Squat farm shop! Thank you

Patch Hill House is a beautiful rural property with a contemporary and relaxing interior
There’s space for three cars, comfortable beds, a well-equipped large kitchen perfect for cooking together, and a spacious sitting/dining room for cosy evenings around the fire.
Outside, the garden has lovely views of the surrounding countryside during daylight, plus stargazing from the patio on a clear night.
“The Plough Inn” in Finstock is a welcoming local pub where we enjoyed pre-lunch drinks around the log fire.
The location is excellent, with country walks from the front door; wellies/walking boots are recommended after rain!

Lovely Property . A few minor minor comments
The property was absolutely lovely and I would happily recommend it to others. Just a few minor comments. It would have been better if there had been clearer information available on both the heating and water heating controls . Also there were bins missing for the refuse so it was very unclear on what to do correctly. The cooking equipment was very good overall but a few more mugs/cups would have been useful.

Beautiful house!!
The house itself is stunning! Plenty of space and amenities for hosting, lots of kitchen utensils for cooking at the home or space to eat if you order a takeaway! The fire in the lounge makes it so cosy. The entire house was spotless and clean! Would highly recommend to anyone. The Plough Inn pub nearby is a lovely cosy pub if you fancy a drink or a meal out.
My only fault would be that although we were aware that checkout is at 10, I have never stayed anywhere where house keeping have turned up at exactly the time of checkout. We were running 10 minutes behind and it felt a shame that they had knocked on the door and told us they would give us 5 mins to be out of the house.

Beautiful house and location, just needing a few improvements
We had a lovely stay overall – the house is beautifully furnished, cosy, and perfectly located for countryside walks (our dog was in heaven!). The views across the fields are stunning, and waking up to the mist rising over the valley was truly special.
That said, there were a few areas where the experience could have been improved, mostly around comfort and practicalities. The principal bedroom’s en suite had an unpleasant smell that seeped into the room for the first couple of days, though this did clear after running the fan and airing it out. The high chair wasn’t set up on arrival – we eventually found it disassembled in a cupboard after contacting the manager. We also missed having a microwave, as we needed it for sterilising baby equipment, and some of the listed kitchen essentials (like tea, coffee, and sugar) were not provided. A heads-up about the gardener’s early-morning visit would also have been appreciated.
The house does creak quite a lot, which is to be expected for an older property, but light sleepers might want to be aware of this.
Despite these minor issues, we really enjoyed our stay. It’s a beautiful property in a wonderful setting, and with a few small improvements it could be exceptional. We’d happily recommend it to others.

Spacious and very well equipped
We were very impressed with this property. It is a delightful cottage with everything you could possibly need to have a comfortable stay. The huge garden is a massive bonus and comfortable beds and large kitchen and lounge area are great for relaxing.
The only addition we would recommend is that fans are provided during very hot weather and that all windows are able
to be opened as the one in bedroom 3 was locked with no key available to open it.

Fun for a wedding
Amazing property. Grew up in the area but now live in the US. Could not picture a more perfect and idyllic property for a getaway if you’re after a beautiful setting and space to spread out in true comfort, especially if with young kiddos. We have very discerning taste and this did not disappoint one bit. We will be back for sure. Thank you to the property hosts!
