Pleasant surprise
Nice hotel. Larger than I expected. We did use the pool and found that it could use some paint around the edge. Very nice hotel. My only disappointment was I expected a tub and shower and only had a shower. Room description on the website said there would be both

Although the majority of our rooms are shower only, we do have rooms with tubs based on request. Great service
Front desk staff were all excellent. The manager was extremely helpful providing us with utensils and condiments when outside food order was received without any. Spacious facility and quiet despite the size. Pool and gym available to use. Wish I would have brought my swimsuit.

I was not happy that there was not a microwave in the room. Specially over Thanksgiving holiday. Also, had an issue with toilet over flowing. That staff did react quickly which was a pleasant surprise.

Location was excellent for finding a later evening dining option and for our destination. They were very flexible with room requests (adjoining) and the hotel was lovely and clean. We happened to stay when a college basketball team was there and the 6 a.m. door slamming on our floor was disruptive when they were leaving (not Marriott's fault that the kids were loud of course). The reason I did not give it 5 stars is that housekeeping knocked TWICE on our door before check-out time (once at 8;30 and we because had gotten in late, we had hoped to sleep in a bit). As Marriott is a world-renowned hotelier, I would think they would have a systematic way for conveying to housekeeping who checked out and what rooms were ready to be cleaned as opposed to knocking on doors.

The staff was very nice. The hotel common area are very nice and look modern. The room itself was very dirty. The edges around the ceiling were brown, the bathroom needed a deep cleaning. It was moldy and not very clean. The beds were comfortable. The bathroom door got stuck with my niece inside and the front desk didn’t answer when I called for help. Room also had only one regular bath towel. I put in a request in for more towels on the bonvoy app, it says they were delivered at a time when we were in the room but they weren’t. It was a pleasant stay but not an 8.2 like the average rating. I’d give it all a 6.5.

This property really needs an overhaul. It was dark, very corporate and adequate at best. The shower was spectacular and the linens were excellent. Other than that, not much good. Housekeeping in our room was awful. Nothing was picked up, no clean towels and no coffee. The fact that you have to pay for wifi is insulting. Won’t be staying here again.

This is the Place
The facilities are very beautiful and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. Great bar and restaurant as well as large lobby for relaxing or group gatherings. This was our second stay and we will definitely return when we travel back to Ohio.

The only problem we had with our stay was maintenance related. The shower door rolled opened on its own for my shower and my wife's shower. Also, the toilet tank was leaking. There was a large puddle of water behind the toilet when we first entered the room.
