"The embassy suites in Richmond is very convenient to get to centrally located. If you are visiting Richmond, Virginia, the property is beautiful. There’s always a relaxing environment in the breakfast is wonderful."

"We booked three rooms. Upon arrival, one room was fine; the air conditioning in one room didn’t work, and the door to the third room was unlocked and open with the room smelling like marijuana. The manager was unable to move into other rooms or another best western property, so we booked rooms at the embassy suites across the parking lot and checked out. Lots of hassle and stress on college graduation weekend!"

"DO NOT BOOK THIS PROPERTY! We booked this house because our family likes playing games & pinball, for location and outdoor space, but upon arriving we were hit with a heavy stench of mold, pet odor, and decay. The listing photos are clearly outdated — the place is neglected, not charmingly retro. We had to buy odor neutralizers and clean the fridge and bathroom ourselves after 15+ hours of traveling. Many listed amenities were unusable: washer/dryer blocked with the owner’s items, a non-working grill, dirty and disorganized patio furniture with a broken umbrella. The “in-room dining area” is just a pinball machine table with no legroom. No water dispenser aside from the kitchen tap. Dirty dishes in the dishwasher and expired food in the fridge. We found rodent droppings under the sink. The full bathroom sink and shower show rust, leaking faucets, missing tiles, and peeling ceiling paint from poor ventilation. The house is a fire hazard — extension cords run under rugs, and some outlets and switches are broken. We cleaned areas and took photos to document issues. We would have canceled if we’d known how bad it was; the small compensation received after complaining doesn't equate to the steps taken to mitigate the issues to feel a bit more comfortable. This property is not worth the price. Owner, please remove this listing, repair the damage, and maintain basic cleanliness and safety — there are clear health and safety concerns. This is an honest warning to future guests."

" Breakfast was pretty standard hotel fare - waffles, pastries, eggs (probably powdered). A little fruit. Only one elevator worked. The pool was covered when we arrived. A couple of days later the cover was removed only to reveal brown, scummy water. My reservation said “in season swimming” but this pool needed a major cleaning. Staff friendly. "

"Our room was a bit dirty, better than the smelly one we had before asking for a change. The breakfast wasn’t bad. The heat/AC was loud. The shower was dirty but strong with plenty of hot water. Overall I can’t recommend this place as I was happiest at the end of my 4-day stay, but the staff were helpful and nice enough. I’m guessing others in the same price range would provide a better stay."

"We were very disappointed with our stay. The Emergency side door was propped open with a rock at night. When we checked in they gave us a room key to an occupied room and fortunately we only saw an open suitcase and not walk in and disturb someone. These 2 situations made us feel unsafe. The desk clerk gave us a new room and in the middle of the night, at 3 am, the smoke detector battery alarm started going off. Needless to say we didn't get a good nights sleep or enjoy our stay. "
