The break was really good value too as we went mid week. The Italian restaurant was the nicest food we have had in years. Rooms were really nice and the bed was so comfortable. "Darrell Porter's house is fantastic! Wonderful views within a peaceful, quiet country-side. We scheduled a large family reunion during our stay; eleven residents staying at the house and a total of twenty-eight visitors coming and going during the weekend. The house accommodated them all with ease. Of special note was the large supply of kitchen utensil: plenty of cutlery, pots and pans, cups and saucers, a wonderful stove, and every imaginable item required to feed a large crowd. And then there is Darrell, a wonderful, welcoming host who made our whole endeavor worthwhile..Without hesitation I recommend Darrell's Tinnakilly Lodge to any vacationer looking for spacious accommodation in a beautiful, quiet location."

"Came here to see the Hothouse Flowers play but was super impressed with the hotel and grounds. This was a lovely getaway vacation and I highly recommend for a quick trip out of Dublin. Get away from the hustle and bustle. Wonderful lobby area, great breakfast. The spa and pool looked amazing but I didn’t get time to utilize. Maybe next time!"

"Room dreadful with view of roof, no housekeeping coffee and tea making facilities not replenished. Staff were fantastic, Breakfast was brilliant, Bar is jaded looking. Handles on men’s toilet door need to be replaced as the cannot be cleaned properly as they are coroded. Would not stay there again it’s very remote and the roads are dangerous."
