The bed was comfortable, the host had the cabin warmed up and greeted us in a friendly manner and was happy to show us around their Alaska homestead. "This is a wonderful place to stay if you're visiting Wrangell-St.Elias National Park. It's central to three areas of the park: Nabesna Road, the visitor's center, and McCarthy Road. Yes, it will require some driving to get to McCarthy (280 miles round trip), but it can be done, and it fit my itinerary to do it.
