However we were woken up early morning by strange scratching noises coming from overhead (top floor room). When I contacted the hotel they told me these were birds on the roof - I'm not so sure as it seemed to be coming from the loft space. "A simply amazing holiday cottage. So comfortable, warm, homely and dog friendly too. Our second time here and am sure it won't be our last. A great location to get to the western lakes or southern lakes, next to the beach and very quiet.Loved the views, huge windows, large sofas and the welcome basket.Only point of feedback was that we had to clean the fridge and a number of crockery items when we arrived, so could look into this."
