"It is a lovely hotel. The room was new and well-appointed with some of the old bank building charm. It's upscale while being quaint and comfortable. We were on the 4th floor. The room had amazing upper windows. Very cool! The staff was lovely. Very accommodating and friendly. The location is ideal, right in the middle of town. We were very happy to stumble upon the Promissory Hotel!"

"Great place to stay to break up our road trip from ny to tn! Very convenient walk to downtown without having to be directly in the downtown. Beautiful historic hotel with very nice rooms and great showers. We loved the lobby bar, beautiful."

"The property was super clean. Everything was easily accessible. Staff was super helpful and friendly. Breakfast was very good and always full of everything. Love this hotel. Although the hotel is pet friendly, they do a great job of making sure it doesn't smell like it. Will stay here again for sure."
