The room is clean bed is comfy ,staff is friendly, there is nice bar and restaurant, it is easy to access from M5.
The room was very good, clean and tidy. Good tea and coffee facilities. Good food down in the restaurant and excellent service by staff! The only thing that let it down slightly was the bathroom which was in need of a refurbishment as wood has been used to trim the base of the shower and it was warped and blackened from the water/steam. Other than that it was a fantastic stay.
Warm welcome when we arrived, shown to our room and given general information on our stay, emergency contact, breakfast times etc.
Restaurant pub area was warm and inviting, drinks value for money.
Opted not to have breakfast as had early start the following day.
Room was clean and tidy, and the bed was very comfortable and both was a generous size. And will be more than happy to stay again when in the area.
Been here a few times for food with my mum, taking her out the care home , Didn’t know they did rooms till I found on here .nice big rooms, bed is ok if not a on the soft side for me … Overall quiet , staff were great, really nice breakfast too .
It has only been 2 months since my last stay here and it was as good as ever. Staff as always were really friendly and make you feel at home. I had a thoroughly enjoyable evening meal as well as a great breakfast. A decent night's sleep set me up for the day and I look forward to coming back here.
The room smells the Bathroom smells and was full of mould.
No Tables were available for food.
Decided I could not stay checked out did not stay. Decided to take long drive home instead.

Average rooms that need some updating/refurbishing. Tired looking decor.
Great service from all staff - friendly and approachable.
Good location for stop off point straight off the motorway.

Acceptable budget but tired accomodation, staff tried to work with what appeared to be little investment from The owners, (Marston's)? A good
Very convenient location, quiet, friendly and considerate staff, cosy old world pub atmosphere, adequate room facilities and plenty of room space.
Excellent evening meal.
Perhaps a little sprucing up needed but without modernising
Nice place to stay if you make use of the restaurant and bar. Staff were great, enjoyed a good value meal and drinks. Room was nice enough. Basic but functional. Offered good value for money.
Easy check in online before hand so went to the bar and got the key immediately and actually got shown to the room - a rare thing nowadays. We had a room on the outside which was great as was going to be rather late back in the evening. Room spacious, comfy bed and had all the amenities. Will go back if in the area
Excellent for a stop over for a couple of days. Staff really friendly and helpful. They have made a good effort to keep it up together in these changing times being it as built with a certain style of the time. Food is lovely for pub grub
Drinks on a par with the area
Beds were very comfortable
