Edinburgh City Centre2 nights4.0 star property9.2/10 - Wonderful (1,008 reviews)"The hotel hosts wedding receptions in the restaurant, complete with a DJ, which we could hear from our room, and which kept us awake until 1am. Then the next night they had a ceilidh which kept us awake until after midnight. They need to decide if they are a hotel or a nightclub/entertainment venue, because they do a terrible job of being both at once. I would not stay here again."Reviewed November 5, 2026Return • Dublin (DUB) - Edinburgh (EDI)DUB - EDI • Direct EDI - DUB • Direct - Aparthotel Adagio Edinburgh Royal Mile

"The room we booked wasn’t prepared, they only had 1 bed. Staff brought in a pullout instead (which was not comfortable and not sufficient for us), at which point we dropped off our bags and went into the city. Upon returning at 7pm we found that we had no blankets for the pullout anywhere, 4 of the 6 ceiling lights were burnt out and we could hardly get light, and there were no staff there for the rest of the night"
Holiday Inn Edinburgh Zoo by IHG
Holiday Inn Edinburgh Zoo by IHG"Hotel was a little worn in places but very clean and comfortable. Staff were very helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. Restaurant food was delicious. Easy to get to city centre by bus. Because it was beside the zoo, there were lots of exuberant children so there were times it was noisy in the halls. Not so great for a senior looking for some quiet time."
"The staff made the experience absolutely amazing. They had stories for us. Great suggestions depending of our needs. I couldn't be happier about the service we received. The place is obviously gorgeous and the amenities are spotless but it really was the staff that made it an unique experience."
"The only downside to this property really was the lack of air conditioning. It was extremely humid when we were there and no way to remove the humidity from the room. But it wasn't hot or anything, so not a big deal. The staff was super nice, the breakfast was great, everything worked well. I especially loved how declining service came with a perk or a charity donation."
