"Check-in was fast and easy. The desk clerk was helpful and friendly. Funny conversation - she informed me I'd be charged a resort fee. I asked if there was a microwave in the room, she said no. I asked what I was getting for my resort fee. She said there's free bottled water and coffee in the rooms. Hmmmm. Our stay was nice - the room was spacious enough and everything was clean. Nice shower, nice beds, plenty of pillows. TV has cable, it worked well. After about 11PM it was quiet until things started getting noisy at 7:30AM. And, as promised, we had coffee and water. There's a small fridge that worked well. The heater was a bit fidgety - from too warm to too cool. After a bit we figured out a decent set of values for it. There are a few restaurants on site - we could avoid going outside in the wind and cold. Room rates were very reasonable, all the staff were friendly and we were quite comfortable. Our days were spent in Death Valley and it's about an hour away. "

"The amenities and property were beautiful and well maintained. Location is excellent. Food is OK, and one of the days the options were very limited. But for the park the convenience makes it worth it."

"This is the “only” place to stay in Death Valley. The “Inn” is excellent a true and beautiful oasis. The sister property in Furnace Creek (breakfast brunch) is my only negative comments. Don’t do it”. Not clean, food not refreshed, old food on the bottom of my new plate. I received a refund and when back up the “Inn” for a proper meal. "

"This run-down hotel is bursting with love and pride, which more than accommodate for its many obvious shortcomings. I love it. The staff were stellar -- especially Tammy, at the front desk. This hotel is not for everyone, but, for the patron of a certain ilk, it is pure magic."
