The COVID-19 outbreak has changed the world in all kinds of ways, including how and where we travel. These tips will help you navigate these new challenges and prepare you for your vacation in Surrey:
- Research if any travel restrictions apply to your origin and destination before locking in a flight. Also check if there are any requirements you’ll need to follow on arrival, such as health testing.
- Requirements state you must wear a face mask throughout your travel experience, including at screening checkpoints. You should be prepared to lower your mask for ID purposes when asked by a TSA officer.
- Instead of handing a TSA agent your boarding pass, position it directly on the scanner yourself. Then, hold it up for inspection.
- One liquid hand sanitizer container is now permitted in your carry-on baggage. It must not be larger than 12 oz (350 ml), and you’ll have to remove it from your bag for screening.
- Put any personal items (e.g, wallet, keys and phone) in your carry-on instead of a bin to minimize handling during screening.
- Separate any food you’re carrying for screening. Placing it in a clear plastic bag and into a bin reduces the need for a TSA employee to handle and inspect your belongings.
