"We love the location of this hotel!"

King Christian Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"This place was incredible! Location was better than expected. I don’t know why they don’t inform you that there is a water taxi(small boat) that is free that is right out front of the hotel that takes you across to a private beach at water on the cay. The water taxi runs until after dark and it’s free to all King Christian guests. You get your own private little island beach and a bar and restaurant and the water taxi ride is literal 90 seconds. You can see the private island beach right in front of the hotel. If you are an athlete you could probably throw a football from st croix to there! lol Thisnpoacenisnright on the boardwalk there isn’t least 29 places to eat and drink and watch games within a 2 min walk on just the boardwalk. Out side of there we felt like the food was hit or miss. This place is 5 min drive to buccaneer GC and 25 min to carabola GC. Buccaneer is worth it to just play 9 one day and then the second 9 the next day. You can also grab lunch there while you golf which I do recommend. The best restaurant on the entire island would HAVE to be Rythyms at rainbow beach. Best taco fresh catch and drinks. The fresh wahoo fish tacos were the stand out but the mahi and wings were incredible. Don’t miss out on this place!"

"The room was clean and the staff was EXCEPTIONALLY FRIENDLY AND NICE! My daughter and I had a wonderful trip!! The only negative comment I have is that we didn’t notice that they were charging gratuity every time we ate at the hotel. Who puts gratuity on a check for only 2 people? That really upset us! We are 20% plus tippers and the staff really made out nice because no one pointed out that they were charging us gratuity. There weren’t any signs about charging gratuity and it was positioned near the tax. Hard to notice. That was sneaky!!! Plus, I get it that most ALL items are imported, therefore they cost more… BUT why charge $20 for an omelet when there are chickens running all around the hotel property!!!"

"Great room well structured and attractive well equipped with everything you need for your stay the beach was full of seaweed but still attractive to seat and sun bath. Staff worked constantly to remove the seaweed but climate did not help much. Property is not in downtown so taxi or shuttle is appropriate."

"This experience was NOTHING as it was advertised. To begin with while the site mentioned a natural occurring seaweed, the degree of this situation was over looked. The odor from heat baked dead seaweed can we compared to a rancid tuna fish can. It impacted EVERY portion of the stay. You could NOT use the beach at all, you couldnt really use the ocean view portion of the room do to the odor. There was trash piled in the seaweed as well [trash of things the resort served] not just random sea debris. There is 1 restaurant and it is buffet style that only gets filled at the beginning of the meal time. Running out of things is 100% expected, but to offer salads to order an says "you ok if its only lettuce ". The grounds are over grown with no maintenance. Giant bags of linens and trash can be seen on the front portion of the resort daily for hours. Staff walks the halls, past piles of dishes and trash that guests set outside. When booking a resort, I expected small attention to detail special nice to do, there was just bare minimum in all experiences. The beach they take you to because there's is not able to be used was junk :/ casino was old an ratchet. Actually made you feel more like a bother then welcome paying guest. Truly the tipping point was return to the room after being at the beach and our room been left open, with the dead bolt engaged so the door could not close alllll day while we were gone. Maybe 20% of whats listed as amenities were actually very disappointed"
