"Absolutely spotless in all the rooms we were in. Attentive and pleasant staff. Very good breakfast , nothing was too much trouble. Did not use the bar or restaurant on this occasion. The grounds are well kept and beautiful. Plentiful parking. My only problem was that the bed was too hard for me. There is a bus into Bath which runs every fifteen minutes at the end of the drive and a few yards across the road. Ubers and taxis are plentiful also."

"The Royal Hotel has a couple of things going for it — it’s directly across the street from the train station AND it has a lift! A couple of things going against it — the WiFi reminded me of dial-up, glacially slow and iffy. Also, there doesn’t seem to be a way for a guest to set the room temp. Unless you count the tabletop plug-in fan? Staff were generally helpful, Tim at the front desk and the women working the breakfast room, too. LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION"
