Very reasonably priced in quiet location between Dewsbury and Osset. Set back off the main road so no noise issues with good links to M1 N and S. Lovely evening meal at decent prices as well.

On arrival told "no WiFi as it being fixed later on" Bar also shut as WiFi is not working! It was never fixed... There was a working network called hotel tho! Lukewarm shower in morning which leaked on the floor! No body about it mention on departure. Porridge & croissants free in room for breakfast which the kids enjoyed. Used to do a full breakfast once apon a time.

If you’re just after a good clean & safe space to lay your head this fits the bill. The staff are lovely & friendly but don’t expect any food service or accessible drinks etc. whilst an incredibly lovely building there is very little going on there.

A good hotel

The hotel is set in a rural area, with views of greenery. Public transport and local amenities close by. Beautiful inside and out, had a lovely room and bathroom so clean and comfortable. Just the mattress was not so good as felt the springs. Overall I was pleased with my stay.

Lovely place

We loved our stay, and have a particular favourite room. We never go anywhere else, as they hotel is beautiful with history. The views are lovely and peaceful. The staff are very friendly and helpful. There are amenities nearby and public transportation.

The room was incredibly small and very tired. The staff was friendly and helpful. The bed was comfortable. The rooms could just stand an upgrade. Be prepared for a tiny tiny space. Breakfast was good. Had an omelette. It was tasty.

More of a B&B than a hotel. The hotel was closed when we arrived to check in at 1pm-early we know but it was completely emply and no one there. The restaurant did not open at all and the bar closed at 7pm. The building did not look as per the picture on your site. When the staff arrived to open the hotel they were friendly and the room was clean and pleasant enough.

Walls were thin and didn't block much sound. Fire alarm went off at 4am (not the property's fault) and the fire brigade arrived quickly. Room needed some additional cleaning but wasn't too bad. Staff were nice.

Our stay was lovely the room was a good size with us having a baby too was plenty of room for us all. Clean and tidy premises with plenty of parking. Staff were kind. Only issue we had was fire alarms went off at 4am no fault of owner other guest smoking in their rooms so all had go outside was a but of a faff with baby trying to contact the staff to come turn off the fire alarms as no answer to out of hours phone calls. Other than that lovely stay and would stay again in future.

Go somewhere else

Hotel bar was only cash only when we got there on Friday night, hardly any between us. 2 of the draught lager were off leaving just expensive bottles. Heating wasn't working bedrooms were very cold. Radiators were turned off. Showers in mornings sat and sun were just warm no where near hot. The sat night after having a family day scattering grandmas ashes family came back at 6pm to have a drink together only to find bar closed and all public rooms locked. We phoned the number on the wall to be told no one would be coming back to open up they had gone home for the day. Unbelievable for £130 a night hotel. We ended up having to go to garage buy a few drinks and drink them in one of the bedrooms with the water glasses. Hotel was clean on the face of it but don't move anything. Bed had springs poking up. I don't normally leave comments as am easily pleased how ever this time family weekend was good but hotel was terrible. I have not known service like it in a hotel of this price. Felt more like a cold B&B where breakfast isn't included.
