Everything about this place was just perfect. Tranquility and scenery out of this world.
Would only suggest to take mosquito spray, we were bitten to bits 😊
Our stay at Borgo Macereto was pleasant and quiet. Our family of three fit perfectly in their two bedroom villa with a host having a pack and play crib for our 7 month old. The amenities on site included a pool which was well maintained and had sun chairs for free use. Inside amenities were limited however there is a coop in town we were able to buy groceries and a few household items. The temporary road up is narrow as most back roads are in Italy, the directions were spot on and once you’re at the property the view is absolutely stunning. We opted to take the train into Florence two days of our stay, the train didn’t run on time either day but did get us to the city in a reasonable amount of time and it was easy to navigate. The locals in Dicomano are extremely friendly and the owners and hosts of Borgo Macereto were welcoming and helpful - the wine is also delicious! We were able to do a wine tasting right in site on our last day of our stay. I highly recommend staying at Borgo Macereto and we will be back in the future!
