Downtown Holbox Holidays

Great variety and quality of food and beverages, courteous and helpful staff, clean rooms.

Overall, this is an average to above average resort if looking for a nice and quiet place to chill and relax for a vacation. The facility is very clean and, as with all resorts, the staff are super nice. They have the standard (five) set of restaurants, however the food is actually surprisingly good; not bland like most all-inclusive resorts. For the negatives base of my experience: 1. It took over two-three hours after our arrival to be assigned our room or for it to be ready. This is only after I hounded our butler for room update. Note, we arrived around 2pm local time so our room should've been ready at this time. 2. On arrival, the room itself was VERY HOT and did not look like it's been properly cleaned...I could tell by how bed was not properly made and prepped. AND the bar fridge also did not work, which was fixed/repaired after I called for maintenance following day...Also our welcome fruit package was left outside out room over night, we only knew it was our after reading the letter following day. 3. You have average alcohol selection for pools and beach areas. You can get access to a few premium brands at main lobby and/or piano bars only. Your complementary bottle is average selection at best. Overall, this poor comparative to other resorts I've been to. 4. Very limited and availability of pool/beach towels. It's mind blogging how towels are so limited and runs out, if you're not an early to snatch some early...And no food or snack access in beach area.

Was a good resort but do not recommend going as a solo traveler. More of a honeymoon/celebration sport.
