We had a fantastic week at Hamilton Lodge for a much needed family holiday.
We had a fantastic week at Hamilton Lodge for a much needed family holiday. The house suited our needs and actually exceeded our expectations. We had 5 adults and 5 children and the sheer amount of space on offer was perfect, the annexe was absolutely ideal for those who wanted time alone and the amount of seating in the whole house was perfect. On arrival the house was very clean and each bedroom smelt of fresh linen and the beds were very comfortable. All bathrooms were finished well and super clean. The garden was our children’s favourite, football, rounders , tennis and water fights galore !!! The children wanted to pick up the garden and bring it home !!! (Hopefully the gardener has more luck catching the mole , we started the week with 4 molehills and when we left we counted over 20!!! ) Our favourite area was the upstairs sun room which led out to the fantastic balcony where we saw the Perseid meteor shower and so so many shooting stars !!! The beach was a mere 10 min walk and you could hear and see the sea from upstairs which was very relaxing. The shop on the campsite up the road was only a 10 min walk but very expensive but as Bridlington was only a 10 min drive we shopped there as there was Tesco, Morrisons or Lidl to choose from ! One niggle was the sheer amount of ingrained bird poop on the upstairs bedroom window and rail, we would have cleaned it ourselves but there was so much !!!! But that is only a small criticism and certainly didn’t detract from the fantastic week !!! You have a beautiful house and thank you for sharing it.
