Especially suitable for families with young children, the cottages have been individually decorated - each having been carefully designed. Outside, there are shared one-acre landscaped grounds to enjoy, with seating and a charcoal barbecue outside each cottage, which makes a perfect place for a summer picnic.

For older children there is shared use of a games room with a full-size snooker table and table tennis, whilst for the younger ones, a large sand pit, pedal tractors, trailers and diggers and various outdoor games are available. Within the locality there are also a number of golf courses, and riding stables are 10 miles away. Set alongside the Driffield Canal, it is the perfect location for those who enjoy ‘messing about on the river’, as there is a small jetty for those who wish to bring their own canoes or small boats and fishing is nearby.

Brigham village is noted in the Domesday Book and lies as a sleepy hamlet, yet just a few miles distant is the historical market town of Driffield. Delightful York (30 miles) is always a pleasure to visit, with plenty to do and see for the whole family. The magnificent minster dominates the city, which is full of quaint shops, restaurants and pubs. Together with the Jorvik Viking Centre and the National Railway Museum, this historic city makes for an entertaining day out.

For lovers of the outdoors, there are numerous walks for all standards including gentle strolls along the banks of the canal, coastal walks or taking in the magnificent scenery of the Yorkshire Wolds. The beaches of Bridlington, Scarborough and Filey are easily accessible, and Hornsea with its ‘Freeport Shopping Centre’ is also well worth a visit. The area boasts a number of stately homes, as well as theatres and cinemas. Shop within 2½ miles. Several pubs/restaurants within 3 miles.

This property, The Byre (IJW), Meadow View (IJV), The Granary (IJY) can be booked together to accommodate up to 20 guests and are suitable for families, whilst allowing privacy of their own accommodation.

This beach has great facilities for toilets, sowers and snacks and of course you can hire a traditional stripy deck chair and the usually essential windbreak!

We hired two cottages for our family and were so pleased with our choice. There is so much detail here that everything we needed we found. The areas for the children outside are wonderful and we were so impressed with their Covid cleaning regime. It was a pleasure to stay here and know we were all safe. Wonderful location and plenty of outdoor activities around to visit. Five stars all round. Thank you Jen and team. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

What a fantastic place for families - there's a (safe) chance to get close to farm animals, and collect your own fresh eggs, a play barn with an amazing amount of ride-on toys, and a games room for both older and younger kids with a full-size snooker table, a pool table, dozens of other toys and games, and literally hundreds of DVDs to borrow. So even in the rubbish weather of a Yorkshire autumn, you won't run out of ways to entertain the family. The cottage itself was comfortable, warm and really well equipped. The previous occupants had turned off the cable TV and the booking agency hadn't passed on our request for a high chair, both of these were resolved very quickly. We even had birthday parcels delivered to the owners' property and they were kind enough to bring them round for us - thank you Jen! We would recommend for others and indeed would return ourselves without hesitation.
