Convenient location, friendly and welcoming staff, good sized room and a great bar. Only downside was the double bed was a bit small, otherwise excellent.
Stayed here for one night for daughter’s graduation from Dundee University. We had 2 rooms in a building over the road from the main hotel. Lovely comfy rooms and very friendly staff.
Room was lovely and the bathroom was big. Food in restaurant very good as was the service. Staff behind bar very efficient and friendly a great team! Only downside would be could be a bit noisy at night with the music from the bar if you had a room at the front of the hotel but all in all we had a great stay would definitely book again
Room was clean tidy, bed comfortable. Bathroom spotless. Only issue was noise outside our room with people going in and out pub. We were aware of this after reading reviews.
Broughty ferry totally diffrent great place everyone loves a sing song through there loved the diffrent scenery
The fort Hotel was really lovley very cozy and welcoming. the staff are so friendly we met the manager at the desk amd she was a very nice lady.
Gentleman who was running the bar and dealing with bookings hat off to him, pub was very busy and a great atomosphere all round

Some rooms noisy Saturday night
The check in was very friendly and efficient. The lady made me feel welcome and was very helpful. The room was clean but a little dated with a water stain on ceiling. Bed was big and comfortable. The main issue was the bar is open until 2am playing very loud music. The vibrations were felt in bathroom and even with earplugs you could hear the music very loudly in the room. Our room was right above the bar so other rooms would not experience this same issue. After 2am everyone cleared out quickly and it was quiet.
The issue i had when i arrived was there is no parking had to drive around to find a space luckily for us we only had hand luggage. Food was excellent and to a high standard. But once we decided to retire to our room the noise was unbelievable i thought i had arrived at ministry of sound in ibiza until 2am then it went quiet so don't expect to sleep Friday and Saturday until 3am i know it does mention this on there web page but it was that bad the lights were shaking in the room absolutely shocking
On checking in we were offered an upgrade to a quieter room as it was a very busy Saturday night in the bar. Very welcoming and friendly, our room was beautifully furnished and very comfortable. Will definately be back.
Perfect accommodation for a few nights stay. Family owned and run. Check in was easy and when we enquired if room had a walk in shower we were changed to a room that did. Very friendly, attentive staff. Clean towels each day. Great bar meals, smaller portions available. Wonderful Guinness😍 highly recommend.
We stayed at the fort Hotel for two days we were there as ourGrandson was Graduating in Dundee.
Our time spent there was very suitable for us. We could not fault it food was good too and reasonable.
