"The hotel is in need of refurbishment to say the least the bar area was disgusting seats broken only bottles as pumps not working and dirty glasses infact the hotel should be condemned.
The only saving grace was the staff and the breakfast the staff were polite,friendly and helpful especially Annie who made breakfast service a pleasure.
Disappointing that hotels.com have this on there web site as im sure if they sent an inspector they would not recommend this hotel I for one will not be...

I really enjoyed my stay at the Doghouse. Having stayed in some lovely hotels over the years, many of them are similar and monotonous. The Doghouse REALLY stands out from the crowd. It has huge amounts of character. The decor is fun and unique and I love how the rooms are themed on the different beers. The entire experience was fantastic!
Hotel in general - friendly concierges, smooth check-in, cool decor, comfy library, perfect location near the Royal Mile and National Museum, and right at the top of Victoria Street (Diagon Alley)!
Room - the standard room we stayed in felt more like a suite! Heated floor, fancy control panels for lights and AC, tall ceulings, great bed, handy Smeg fridge, amazing-smelling toiletries, and a good shower too!
Can't wait to go back, it was a flawless...
