"So start with the positives, staff on reception were genuinely welcoming and friendly. Towels and bedding were clean. However, hotel is run down, paint peeling from windows, images are nothing like on hotels.com, floors are uneven, bathroom poor condition, floor covered over in patch’s and rotten bath panel. Overall give it a miss."
"The room was ideal ***** for myself as a solo traveller. This top floor room was nicely decorated. clean, secure, facilities perfect and no noise from the stairs/common area, nor outside. Could not fault the room at all.
Decor throughout the hotel generally was very pleasant.
The lift was out of order however it didn't spoil my stay as although one of the agile older generation, was up and down the stairs in no time at all.

"Great welcome at the door and help with luggage. Sea view room, great breakfast and helpful staff.
Only downside was the loud seagull outside at 6am but hey, we were beside the seaside!!"

No loo roll in room and when I asked at reception for toilet rolls to be sent to room, I was informed that they don’t do room service and if we had wanted special requests in room then we should have emailed 24 hours before arrival - to be honest I had no idea what she was talking about!
Everything was too much trouble!
Music and lights turned off in bar between 10.50pm & 11pm leaving us to finish our bottle of wine in semi darkness!
At breakfast, music again was turned off and doors shut at 9.55am with staff coming in and out getting drinks from the buffet!
Terrible customer service.
Wouldn’t recommend and wouldn’t stay again! Britannia hotels have a very low standard. "
