"Lovely staff and room. Only problem was that it was a very hot night and we had a fire door to the back beer garden which we couldn’t open as anyone could walk in. They had a powerful fan to help us out though. Also the bath had no bracket or curtain for the shower so we had to sit in the bath and use it which was not so relaxing. We actually loved our stay though. Pretty place to stay opposite the cathedral and the staff were very sweet."

"Really enjoyed our overnight stay in the King Penguin room at the Sheep & Pigeon. Room was very clean, comfortable, well equipped and quiet. We had a lovely evening meal . Recommend the River Teign mussels . Staff were welcoming & attentive ."

"We enjoyed our 6 nights at the wells townhouse. The house was clean and well appointed. Will was quick to respond to any questions we had and the location couldn’t have been more perfect, just minutes to the city center."

"A beautifully decorated and welcoming home. It was a pleasure to be able to stay there. Everything was provided that we might have needed. No problem parking in the adjacent street. Very good bus service to Glastonbury where we spent a lovely day and buses to plenty of other places if we’d had a longer stay. Wells is a lovely and quite compact city and we had a great time just pottering round all the interesting places. The cathedral is magnificent and well worth a guided tour. The only downside was the journey home with very long traffic jams! Thanks to Helen and Mark for their hospitality."

"This was a great place. The location is excellent, about five minutes' walk to the market square and cathedral. Everything spotless and in good working order. Plenty of room in the apartment, conveniently laid out. Totally quiet and peaceful. Wifi worked perfectly. Parking was tight (Audi A3) but manageable. Highly recommended!"
