As a family, we stayed 8 nights and just loved this location and property. It was an excellent home away from home, with a great kitchen, laundry options, plenty of space for downtime, two showers and a superb location for seeing Edinburgh. We were able to walk to the Royal Mile, Edinburgh train station, the castle, University of Edinburgh and lots of other locations very easily.
Perfectly located just off Castle Terrace at the base of the castle. 2 minutes from The Royal Lyceum, 3 minutes from Usher Hall, 4 minutes from the Traverse Theatre. Easy walking distance to excellent restaurants. We loved it.
Location was perfect. Everything we needed or wanted to see was a short walk or used Uber for longer distances. Flat was very nice and clean for our family of 4. Check in was super easy and owners answered any and all questions we had. Washing machine was a huge bonus. Fully functioning kitchen worked great. Plenty of space so we did not feel on top of each other. Highly recommend. Hope to be back someday.
There was nothing about this flat that I didn’t love. It was clean, quiet and convenient. Had everything we needed. I hated to leave! Loved the drying rack in the kitchen. I would 100 percent stay here again with great pleasure.
This is a beautiful, historic property that is superbly located with a breathtaking view of Edinburgh Castle outside the front door. We walked everywhere from here with easy access to groceries, cafes, bakeries, the weekly farmers market, and Usher Hall.
It was clean, and well appointed; communication regarding the unit was prompt and helpful. Highly recommend!
This was the perfect place for my daughter and I to spend our holidays. We each had a room/bath, along with a large parlor, full kitchen, and dining area. It was so easy to walk to Old Town and Princes St.Several grocers were close by, and it was a 10-minute walk to the Tram and Scot Rail stations. Our trip was so much more enjoyable staying here vs a Hotel. We've already discussed staying in the same flat for future visits to Edinburgh.
It was a great location to use as a base. We could get to old and new towns very easy. Place was large and ver nice. You do sink into the sofa and it is rough to get out of for older people. We had a very positive experience. Thanks.
The property was spacious and clean. Bedrooms and bathrooms more than met our needs. The location provided easy access to the Castle, Markets and Bars/Restaurants. Most everything we needed was in walking distance. The farmers market just down the block was a welcome surprise. I did not realize that the apartment was located up some stairs and did not really have any outdoor space to access except out the front door of the building.
My brother and I stayed here and were just blown away by how easy the check in process was (we stayed in London beforehand and it was not seamless at all). The property was very conveniently located by the castle, the Royal mile, places to eat, cafes, etc. the apartment was beautiful and so spacious, the owner was very communicative leading up to check in. They answered any and all questions and it was overall a fantastic experience. If and when I come to Edinburgh again, I hope that this apartment is available to book because I 10/10 will book it again!
This lovely apartment is everything that is described in the write up. Location, spacious, clean, beautiful and comfortable. Communication was great, any questions answered right away. We are four busy adults who easily walked everywhere, even to store our luggage at a hostel and walk to a Hairy Coo bus tour, that’s how convenient the location is. You can see the castle from the front steps, market with delicious food is every Saturday, just steps from the front door. My only other comment is that washer dryer combo is a frustrating piece of machinery, so plan to wash clothes and hang to dry.
Don’t hesitate-book it.
The flat is located just behind Edinburgh Castle and very close to Princes St. The location for visiting Edinburgh could not be better! The flat is just like the photos. It has a very large living room, separate kitchen and dining area. It has two bedrooms, one with a double/queen bed with a large en-suite bathroom and a second large bedroom with three twin beds that can be configured as a king and a twin. The second bathroom is across the second bedroom. You have to go up a flight of stairs to enter the flat. The kitchen, in addition to the refrigerator, oven, stove, and microwave, has a French press, toaster and kettle. Just a couple of blocks away you have a variety of restaurants, coffee shops and pubs. We would definitely stay there again on any future trip to Edinburgh.
The location is amazing and the space is fantastic. Big kitchen and living room. We were all very comfortable. We walked to everything in town. Wi-Fi was good, but a weak signal if you were outside the kitchen, which was sometimes annoying. We used the washer a lot and loved the kitchen rack for drying clothes. The bathrooms were nice sizes with a big tube that came in handy with kids. It was quiet and safe. We loved all that Edinburgh had to offer and walked to the castle for visit and then the Military Tatoo. Also walked to Arthur’s Seat, the Dome, Underground Tour and Fringe entertainment.
We loved it. My husband, my adult son, and I could not have been happier with the location, the openness and size of the Flat (tons of closet space), and thrilled to have a washer/dryer. We walked and walked this magnificent City. There is no need to bring anything but sneakers, and be prepared for hills and many steps. Uber's were great, but we preferred to walk and walk.
Our hosts were great, responding before the trip with any questions and even providing local bars to watch football or rugby, which we did. Food was excellent everywhere.
Being in the old town right below the castle was incredible. Walk out each day, and there it was. I plan to come back and rent the same Flat with a girlfriend.
Excellent, Excellent, Excellent
the location was wonderful, very quiet neighborhood and shops, pubs all within a few blocks. The Saturday market was great , bought bread and cheese plus Scottish Gin.
There were 3 in our party with plenty of room for us all. Loved our stay here! Great spot that is close to Edinburgh Castle and the Royal Mile. Would book again!
