"The house is in a rural location and the views of the Atlantic are breathtaking. If you want to relax in peaceful surroundings, this is the place for you! Inside the house, the décor and furniture are traditional but there’s everything you need for a comfortable stay. The air conditioning in the bedrooms was very effective, ensuring we slept well despite the high humidity. Furthermore, the kitchen is very well equipped and there are three bathrooms, each with a shower, which is incredibly convenient if you're staying as a larger group. We also found the house to be very clean throughout. The terrace and pool area are a real bonus. There's plenty of space and we spent a lot of time outside, making the most of the weather. Without a doubt, the terrace and pool area are the perfect place to spend your time.Our host, Emanuel, was communicative and friendly throughout our stay. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble for him and he was genuinely interested in our stay at his house. It really was a pleasure to meet him. If you're looking for a comfortable house in a rural Madeiran setting, my friends and I would recommend it without hesitation. For the price, you needn’t look any further!"

"This was a disaster, we arrived at the cottages and were greeted by barking dogs. No host no instructions no communication, we had no signal on phone to receive any updates. We tried to ring the host to no avail. We spent our holiday in our hire car. "

"This villa is just sublime! Beautiful villa, absolutely gorgeous location, well stocked kitchen, communication with Rui was excellent with very prompt responses. There was nothing at all to dislike. If you like privacy and seclusion, with fantastic views, then this is the villa for you.Short drive (15 mins) to a few supermarkets. Jardim do Mar is a village only a short drive away well worth going to see.Nothing negative to say at all about this villa, location, host, etc. Just superb!"

"The villa is absolutely beautiful and so is the setting. This villa is for you if you want to be in a quiet, more remote setting - a car is a must- but it is only around a 15 minute scenic drive to Calheta where there are shops fantastic restaurants and a beach (with boat tours and water sports). I would recommend a car anyway for a trip to Madeira as it is such a beautiful island and there are so many places to explore within short car journey.I found the owners to be very thoughtful e.g providing wine, milk, charcoal for us so we had enough basics already there when we arrived. They also provided helpful information about places to visit and local supermarkets etc. I also found them to be very friendly and quick to reply in all my communication with them prior and during the holiday. I highly recommend staying in this villa! "

"What a place!! The property overlooks the most amazing view, we were really spoilt with sunsets! The area is quiet and the rooms were so comfortable. We’re had everything we needed and more for our stay. Or host Lydia went all out to ensure some special birthday surprises were arranged for our arrival and we couldn’t have wished for more, she really went above and beyond, and checked in via message every now and again to check everything we were enjoying ourselves. We will absolutely be back!!"

Virginia was very responsive and gave us a packet of amazing information. Check in was easy, and there were explanations for everything. The heated pool at the end of a long day of steps and hills was so very welcome! "
