Don Carlos Marbella

10/10 Excellent

"Resort is an excellent place to enjoy a wonderful holiday in the Costa del Sol. The amenities are amazing, and the staff is equal to the task at every level. The rooms are beautifully decorated as is the lobby and the pool area as well as a beautifully manicured gardens. The main restaurant is called Manero and it appears that it is a separately owned and managed entity from the Don Carlos team. Although beautifully designed, It would’ve been ideal if the Manero establishment provided the same kind of attentive and preferential service to hotel guests as they do to those reserving from outside. The breakfast buffet was excellent, and the staff incredibly attentive to our needs. I would definitely recommend the Dan Carlos Hotel two anyone looking for an excellent and unforgettable experience!"

"Overall a good stay. We stayed in the 16th floor and the room was basic but met all our needs with a nice view of the harbour , comfortable beds and a decent bathroom. The room was cleaned daily and the maids were extremely helpful. Some things in the hotel are slightly dated with plaster missing on some of the balcony's. We also had a small issue with the shower on two days where it just stopped mid shower for around 5 minutes (not sure if this was due to the water pressure) The pool does not open to 11am and is locked behind a gate although this didn't bother us as we went a walk in the morning for a late breakfast and some coffee. Pools is decent with a nice view , staff go round and ensure the sunbeds are taken by guest staying at the hotel and not non staying guests - this is due to the pool having a skybar that is open to the public. The location is great with the beach across the street and bars/restaurants all within a small walking distance. The train station is also only 10 minutes away. Overall we would return"

"My apartment was lovely and spacious. Super clean & air con was excellent. Tv in every too, Plenty free parking , Only down side was the resort was very big , and it was a long walk to the beach , Location is very good as the beaches locally are very nice . The sunbed and parasol hire was very reasonable - 8€ whole day"
